He was a veteran of World War I;the V.F.W.Post of Vestaburg;the Moose Lodge of Brownsville;and the American Legion Post;Fredericktown. She was born July 22;1922;in Italy;a daughter of the late Dominic and Mary Theresa Merandi Alessio. She was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community. She was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon and the Ladies Guild of the parish. She was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 Ladies Auxiliary and the Anita Garibaldi Society of Belle Vernon;where she had worked for many years in the kitchen.
