Maple Ave.; Monessen; died Thursday;Dec.20;1962; at 5:35 a. m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He had been
admitted to the hospital last Saturday.
Born in Latrobe he had been a
Monessen resident since 1929 and
was employed with the Monessen
Southwestern Railway Co. as a
locomotive engineer.
He attended the First Christian
Church of Monessen; was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen
941; and the Connellsville Eagles
Aerie 493.
His wife; Mary Catherine Piper; preceded him in death in October; 1957.
Surviving are four sons; Charles and John; both at home;
James with the U. S. Air Force
in Bangor; Maine; and J. Thomas
at Fort Worth; Tex.; two grandchildren: two brothers; Alvin
and Clarence; and a sister; Mrs.
Belle O’Haro; all of Latrobe.
Friends will be received at the
H. Denver Rhome Funeral Home
in Monessen after 7 p. m. Thursday.
Hours will then be from 2 to 5 and
7 to 10 p. m. Services will take place Saturday;Dec.22;at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Wayne M.Tolson;pastor of the First Christian Church of Monessen;in charge. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. H.Denver Rhome;funeral director.
