Harry Nello Sylvester;73;of 1 Graham Ave.;Belle Vernon;died suddenly today at 9:30 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mr.Sylverter was a former stationary engineer for the old American Sheet and Tin Co.;Monessen;until 1937. He owned and operated a grocerty store in Belle Vernon 35 years;retiring in 1955. He was director of Belle Vernon Cemetery Association and was a member of Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 643;Belle Vernon;being a past master of the lodge and;at the time of his death;secretary. He was a past worthy high priest of Royal Arch Chapter;Monessen;where he was their present treasurer. My.Sylvester instructed at the Masonic School of Instruction in Charleroi. He was born in Bartolini;Italy;July 7;1895. Born in Charleroi;Belgium;March 6;1895;he was a son of the late Remy and Clara Frere Sechez;Sr. Mr.Sechez was a member of American Legion Post 23;La.Mutuelle-Society and Belgium Club;all of Charleroi. A veteran of World War I;having served with the U.S.forces overses;Mr.Sechez was a retired employee of the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. Anthony (Tony) Santoro;1144 Alexander Ave.;Monessen died Sunday;Oct.13;1968;in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He had been in the hospital for several weeks. Mr.Santoro was a member of St.Cajetan Church in Monessen;a member of the Italian Society Mutual Aid;Fraternal Order of Police and the NIPA. He was a Monessen resident since 1914. He was formerly employed at the Carneige-Illinois Steel of Monessen;he retired from the Monessen Police Force in 1958. He instructed bricklaying in the Mon Valley Trade School in Belle Vernon.
