Born Sept.2;1905;in Charleroi;she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Kirschner. The dceased was a lifelong resident of Charleroi. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Charleroi. Survivors include her husband;Arthur W.;two sons;Arthur C.Wells of Niles;Ohio;and Thomas W.Wells of Charleroi;a daughter;Mrs. Albert (Anna) Emph of Jamestown;Pa.;a brother;Howard Kirschner of Monessen;two sisters;Mrs.Tillie Cardinale of Detroit;Mich.;and Mrs.Mary Watts of Brycruse;Ohio;17 grandchildren;and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received from 7 to 10 p.m. today;2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.tomorrow and Sunday in the Michael A.Melinchak Funeral Home;825 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday;with the Rev.James A.Robbins of Christ Lutheran Church of Charleroi in charge. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Michael A.Melinchak is the funeral director in charge.

He was born in Pennsylvania on January 7;1902 the son of the late James A.and Susan (Finnegan) Woods Sr. He was a member of the Brownsville United Methodist Church;Brownsville Moose No.108;Brownsville Eagles No.1356;Brownsville Elks No.1344;Fayette County Fireman’s Association;Painters Union;L.A.T.S.E.and M.P.O.of Charleroi. He was a desk clerk at Brownsville Police Department. Surviving are three daughters;Mrs.Melva Betsko;Oxenhill;Maryland;Mrs.Ruth M.Jay of Cascade;Maryland;Judith Harmon;Brunswick;Maryland;two brothers;Edward Woods of Charleroi;Frederick Woods of Bentleyville;Pa.;two sisters;Miss Dorothy Woods of Charleroi;Mrs.Alice Spatafore of Charleroi;eight grandchildren and four great-greandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife;Louisa on August 17;1973. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
