Frank A.Wagner;77;of 118 Beaumont St.;Belle Vernon;died at 7 a.m. Thursday;July 5;1973;in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born July 20;1895;in Fairhope and was a veteran of World War I having served as squad leader with the 319th Infantry Regiment of the 80th Division. He was retired from Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.where he had worked as a millwright in the open hearth. Mr.Wagner was a member of First Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post 659;both of Belle Vernon;and Charleroi Barracks of World War I Veterans. Surviving are his widow;Anna;three daughters;Mrs.Raymond (Margaret) Hillman of Gibsonton;Mrs.Wayne (Phyllis) Overand of West Newton and Mrs.William (Linda) Elkin of Belair;Md.;two sons;Frank Wagner of Watsontown and Tom Wagner of Belle Vernon;two brothers;John Wagner of Belle Vernon and Claude Wagner of Detroit;Mich.;14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. was visiting a son; Kenneth Williams
of Fairless Hills; when he
became ill at Easter. He had
been hospitalized since.
He was a company runner for
the 28th Division in World War
I; an elder emeritus of the
First Christian Church of Fayette
City; a member of the United
Mine Workers of America; a
member of the American Legion
Post 659 of Belle Vernon
and a member of the Charleroi
Barracks of World War I Veterans.
His wife; Jessie Anderson Williams;
died on April 29; 1972.
Survivors include two sons;
