Mrs.Mary Nichols Ashley;aged 69 years;died at her home in 821 McKean avenue;Tuesday afternoon;August 3;1937 at 12:50 o’clock. Mrs.Ashley had been suffering with a heart ailment and was suddenly stricken with the fatal attack a few days ago. Two sons;William Nichols;of Charleroi;and Edward Nichols;of Sturgeon;Pa.;survive with two daughters;Mrs.Anna Craig;of Charleroi;and Mrs.Catherine Theiser;of Gibsonton. Funeral services will be held at the late home;Friday afternoon;Aug.6;1937;at 3 o’clock with interment following in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Lewis William Axton;aged 81 years;died Wednesday;March 25;1936;at his home;107 Water street;Belle Vernon. He had been ill since January first. A resident of belle Vernon for the past seventy years;Mr.Axton was widely known. He was a retired glass worker. Surviving are his wife;four daughters;Mrs.Edward Layton;of belle Vernon;Miss Helen Axton;pf Pittsburgh;Mrs.John Churbock;of Monongahela;and Miss Irene Axton;at home;two sons;Charles Axton;of Clarksburg;W.Va.;and John Axton;of Henrietta;Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon;March 27;1936;at 2 o’clock at the late home;107 Water street;Belle Vernon. Rev.M.S.Spear;pastor of the Christian Church will be in charge. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
