Mrs.Maria Allessio;aged 45 years;of 24 Johnston Street;Belle Vernon;died in Charleroi-Monessen hospital at 5 p.m.Monday;June 23;1941;following an illness of two days. Mrs.Allessio;wife of Dominick Allessio;was a member of St.Anthony Society of St.Sebastian Church and was also a member of the Church. Besides her husband;she leaves two daughters;Rose and Theresa at home;three sons;Anthony;Frank and James at home;one brother John Marindi of Holden;W.Va.;and two sisters;Mrs.Catherine Basile of Clarksburg;W.Va.and Mrs.Mary Barber of Logan;W.Va. Friends are being received at the late home until the hour of funeral services Thursday morning at 9:30 o’clock in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. Rev.J.J.O’Connor will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold Toner is the funeral director.

August Arrigo;aged 40;of 205 Shady Avenue;Charleroi;died at 1:45 o’clock Wednesday morning;January 1;1941;in the West Penn hospital;Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife and one daughter;Anna May;his mother;Mrs.Anna Arrigo;of Pittsburgh;and a sister;Mrs.Mary Azzarello;also of Pittsburgh. He was also related to the family of Thomas Arrigo of Charleroi. Friends will be received at 205 Shady Avenue until time of the funeral. Funeral services will be held Saturday;Jan.4;1941;at 10 a.m.at his late home in charge of Rev.G.Paonessa;pastor of Mother of Sorrows R.C.Church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
