Frank G. Bowser;aged 68 years;well known Belle Vernon resident;died Tuesday morning;May 28;1940;in the St.Francis Hospital;Pittsburgh;after a short illness.  Mr.Bowser was born in Missouri and came to Belle Vernon as a lad of nine years.  He had resided  there continuously since that time.  For thirty years Mr.Bowser was engaged in the grocery business and later for a period of fifteen years;conducted a hardware store.  Of late years he has been retired.  He resided with a niece;Mrs.John Cadman;at 383 Jones street;Belle Vernon;where friends will be received until Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock when services will be held at the Melenyzer Funeral home on Broad avenue.  Rev.James Rainey;pastor of the Christian Church;will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Mrs.Mary Irene Billger;aged 44;died at her home;402 Bluff Street;Belle Vernon; Thursday morning;April 4;1940 at 8 o’clock;after a lingering illness. She leaves her husband;Ralph;one daughter;Doris Billger;her mother;Mrs.Lida Conner;one sister;Viola Dewalt of Hubbard;Ohio and two brothers;Orville and John Conner of Charleroi. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon;April 7;1940; at the Toner funeral parlors at Broad Avenue in Belle Vernon;in charge of Rev.James M.Rainey;pastor of the Belle Vernon Christian Church.
