Joseph F.Connolly;Jr.;13 year old son of Mr.and Mrs.Joseph Connolly of 957 Donner avenue succumbed in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital at 5:53 Friday morning;April 6;1934;from tetanus which developed from a broken leg received on March 11 when the sled on which he was coasting collided with an automobile. He was a member of the Boy Scout Troop of the American Legion and was a great favorite not only among his youthful companions but also among the citizens of the community. Besides his parents;one brother;James survives.

August Castanier;aged 71 years;died Wednesday morning;April 18;1931 at 5 o’clock at the home of his daughter;Mrs.Charles Barthe;531 Conrad avenue;North Charleroi. He had been a resident of the vicinity for about thirty-five years. Surviving are one daughter;Mrs.Barthe;a sister and brother. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon April 21;at 2 o’clock at the late home with interment following in Belle Vernon cemetery.

Mrs.Benjamin Costello;of Belle Vernon;aged 37;died in the Ohio Valley Hospital;Steubenville;Ohio;Monday;April 2;1934;at 7 p.m. she is survived by her husband and seven children;Benjamin;Jr.Edward;Elmer;Albert;Lois;Joseph;and an infant son;her mother;Mrs.Thomas Price of Belle Vernon;and three sisters;Mrs.Charles Conrad of Belle Vernon;Mrs.George Etheridge of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Mary Van Natta of Connellsville. Mrs.Costello;a talented musician;was born in Gibsonton. She was a life long member of the Presbyterian Church;teaching in the primary department for several years. She was graduated from California State Teachers College;and received a Bachelor’s degree from Penn State College. She taught for several years in the Monessen Junior high school and North Belle Vernon grade school. She had resided in Weirton;W.V.;only three years;having made her home in Belle Vernon the early part of her life. Funeral services will be held from the home of her mother;Mrs.Thomas Price;303 Grant street;Belle Vernon;Thursday at 1 o’clock with interment in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rev.Howard T.Curtis;pastor of the Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Harry Eli Cope;son of Paul Augustus Cope and Amanda Manzella Hager was born in October of 1907;in Brownsville;Fayette County;Pa. He died March 15;1934;in Charleroi;Washington County;Pa. He was married about 1927 in Cumberland;Allegheny County;Maryland to Violet Marie Cowen;daughter of William Cowan and Anna T.Cowan. He is buried in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
