Thomas F. Carroll; age 55 years;
of Fifth Street Extension; Charleroi;
died in Charleroi-Monesten hospital;May 24; 1946; at 3:10 p. m.; after an
illness of ten days.
He was born in California; Pa.;
April 22;1891; the son of Edward L.
and Victoria Stiver Carroll. He came
to Charleroi in 1898 from California;
and was employed as the Machine
Shop superintendent at Corning
Glass Works. He had been affiliated with that company for twenty-eight
years. He was a member of St. Jeromes Church; the Eagles; and a charter member of the Macbeth Cooperative club. He served as a Second Lieutenant in World War One; and was a member of Charleroi American Legion. He is survived by his wife; Josephine Sacque Carroll; two sons; Edward T. Carroll at home; and John E. Carroll; in service; two brothers;John of Philadelphia; and Charles E.
of Port Allegany; and two sisters;
Mrs. William Pehl of Monessen and
Mrs. Julius H. Klein of Roscoe. Friends will be received at the Francis C.Slezak Funeral Home. Requiem High Mass will be held in St.Jerome’s Church on Tuesday;May 28;1946;at 9 a.m.in charge of Father James McKeever. Interment will follow in Monngahela Cemetery.
