Louis Columbus;aged 69;died at his home;153 E.Schoonmaker avenue;Tuesday morning;April 21;1942;at 10:30 o’clock;following a brief illness. He had been a resident of Monessen for the past 33 years;and was employed by the City at the time of his death. He is survived by his widow;Mrs.Vera Mae Columbus and seven children:Mrs.Frances Hohenberger;Mrs.Wilda Balog;Leroy;William and Donald;of Monessen;Mrs.Lena Edwards of Warren;Ohio;and Mrs.Grace Hayes of Waynesburg. Friends will be received at the late home until Thursday at 12:30 p.m.;when the body will be taken to the Woodward Home for Funerals. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m.in charge of Rev.J.E.Fosnight;pastor of the First Baptist Church. Interment will be in Belle Vernon cemetery.

Surviving is his wife;Mrs.Mary Costello;and the following children;Katherine Costello;Belle Vernon;Mrs.Thomas Bello;Nanty Glo;Mrs.John Polansky;North Charleroi;Mrs.William Konecheck;Belle Vernon;Tony;Belle Vernon;Ben;Weirton;W.Va.;John J.;Homer City;Frank;Detroit;Joe;Belle Vernon;and Albert;Weirton. Mr.Costello came to America as a child and was naturalized 21 years ago. Friends will be received at the home until Monday afternoon at 2:30 when services will be held;conducted by Rev.G.M.Daugherty;pastor of the Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
