Irwin Houseman;64 years old;a road foreman;who lives along the Fayette City-North Belle Vernon road;was instantly killed Tuesday morning;November 1;1926 at 7 o’clock at the intersection of the Monessen highway and the Pricedale Cut-Off near Pricedale;when he was struck by a Pittsburgh Provision and Packing Company produce truck. Houseman sustained a fractured skull when he was knocked to the brick road as the truck swung and the side hit him. The accident happened near the cut-off where a sharp curve exists. Houseman was dead when the driver;Lawrence Bertrum;of Pittsburgh stopped the truck and reached Houseman’s prostrate form. Houseman was married and was well-known here. Mr.Houseman is a widower and made his home with his daughter;Mrs.Mabel O’Hara;who resides near North Belle Vernon;along the Fayette City road. In addition to the daughter;one son;Clyde Houseman of Fairhope also survives. Funeral services will be held from his late home on Wednesday afternoon;November 3;1926;at 2 o’clock with interment following in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Mrs.Keziah Houseman;well known and highly respected resident of Charleroi;died last night;May 9;1926;at 7 o’clock at her home;109 McKean avenue;after an illness of several months. The deceased;who was born February 10;1855;was the mother of thirteen children;four of whom survive;Samuel of Elizabeth;George of Gary;Ind.;Edward and Andrew of Charleroi;annd Ivan Houseman;deceased;two sisters;Mrs.Anna McKee of Elizabeth and Mrs.Clara McCracken of Frank;Pa. She was an active member of the First Christian Church and a member of the Charleroi American Legion Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held from her late home;Sunday afternoon;May 9;1926;at 2 o’clock in charge of the Rev.W.M.Long;pastor of the Christian church. Interment will take place in the Belle Vernon cemetery.
