She is survived by her husband;Mike Lucas;three sons;Benjamin of Charleroi;Walter at home and Edward Lucas of Fayette City;R.D.;one daughter;Julia at home;and one grandson. Lt.Nicholas J.Lykos;of Broad avenue;Belle Vernon;a bombardier on a B-17 Flying Fortress;was killed instantly from injuries received by flak on his 26th mission while his ship was over the target at Blechhammer;Germany;on December 26;1944. Lieutenant Lykos was born in Roscoe Nov.25;1921 and was graduated from California High School and University of Pittsburgh. Before entering Pitt;he attended George Washington University;Washington;D.C. Enlisting in the Army Air Forces;Feb.23;1943;he received his wings at Big Springs;Texas;on April 29;1944. He is survived by his parents;Mr.and Mrs.John Lykos;three brothers;Thomas J.;John Jr.and Isadore and one sister;Christina. Friends are being received at the Melenyzer Funeral Home in Belle Vernon beginning Sunday Aug.21.

Charles W.Lovell;47;1114 Graham St.;Belle Vernon;died in the Toner ambulance while enroute to Charleroi-Monessen hospital Friday morning at approximately 9:30 a.m. Mr.Lovell had been ill with a cold for several days. This;the attending doctor indicated;aggravated a heart condition which was the cause of death. Mr.Lovell was freight agent at Avella for the Pittsburgh and West Virginia railroad company. He was a member of Belle Vernon lodge; and the Free and Accepted Masons. Survivors include his wife;Mrs. Alberta Lovell;two children;Charles W.Lovell;Jr.and Helena Annie Lovell. There are also three brothers and a sister. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home. Services will be held there Monday;April 25;1949;at 2 p.m.;in charge of Rev.Frederick Burchell.
