Mrs. Edith Lucille Springer;
more familiarly known to a large
circle of friends as Babe; wife
of Robert W. Springer; died at 4
o’clock Sunday morning;November 3;1935; at the
family home on Reed avenue.
While on an automobile trip with
her husband; seven weeks ago;
Mrs.Springer suffered a cerebral
hemorrhage. She was taken to
the Strong Memorial hospital in
Rochester; N. Y.; and two weeks
ago; when hopes for her recovery
were abandoned; she was removed
to her home in this city. Saturday
night at 6 o’clock; she suffered
another hemorhage which proved
fatal.
Mrs. Springer was aged 29
years. She was born and reared
in Monessen; was graduated from
the Monessen High school and
soon after was married to Mr.
Springer; who survives along with
two children; Mary Joan; aged six
years; and Robert; Jr; aged fifteen
months. Her parents; John
W. and Lillian Vance; of Pittsburgh;
survive; along with a sister;Miss Marion Vance;of Pittsburgh. Funeral services are announced for Wednesday afternoon;November 6;1935;at 2:30 o’clock in the Presbyterian Church. Rev.J.P.McFarland will be the officiating minister. Interment will be made in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The bereaved husband has the sympathy of the entire community.

Jacob Schmidt;aged 51 years;died at his home in 440 Henry St.;North Belle Vernon;Friday afternoon;August 2;1935 following a short illness. He was born in December of 1883;a son of Charles and Christina Nirott Schmidt. Surviving are his wife Alice and one son Jacob Jr.;at home. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the late home followed by interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rev.Howard Curtiss;pastor of the Presbyterian Church;will be in charge.
