Mrs. Hannah Elizabeth Roley;widow of the late Jacob T.Roley of Belle Vernon;and daughter of Lewis and Sarah Ann Krepps;born at Fayette City;Pa.on July 4;1842;died Sunday;March 21;1915;at 10:50 p.m.;of cerebral hemorrhage;aged 72 years. Deceased was one among the best known residents of Belle Vernon;where she had resided most of her life. She had been a patient sufferer for considerable time;and although she never knew just what caused the death of her son;Joseph Roley;who met death in an automobile accident near Uniontown on Monday night;March 1;1915;it is thought the worry was instrumental in hastening her end. Deceased is survived by six children as follows: Mrs.Albert Sphar of near Washington;Pa.;Mrs.Charles R.Redd of Pittsburgh;Mrs.J.D.Brawdy of Charleroi;William H.;Jennie and Jessie;all of Belle Vernon. She is also survived by two sisters;and one brother;Mrs.Charles J.Hurrie of Stockton;Cal.;Mrs.R.R.Faulkner of Indianapolis and Wilson Krepps of Belle Vernon. The funeral will be held from the late residence;Belle Vernon;Wednesday afternoon;March 24;1915;at 2:30. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Jacob T.Roley;75 years and 9 month old;and a well-known resident of this community;died at his home in Belle Vernon Wednesday evening Jan.19;1910;at 6:50 o’clock;after a few week’s illness of bronchitis and heart trouble. The deceased is survived by his wife;Hannah;and seven children;as follows: Joseph T.;Anna E.;Jennie and Jessie at home;William H.of Belle Vernon;formerly of Charleroi;Mrs.J.O.Brawdy of Charleroi and Mrs.C.F.Redd of Pittsburg. He has one sister and four brothers;one of the brothers being Noah Roley of Charleroi;who is now in such a state of health that the news of his brother’s death cannot be told him. Mr.Roley was one of the best known citizens of Belle Vernon. He was born in Hempfield township;Westmoreland county;and lived successively in the vicinity of his home;Monongahela and Belle Vernon;going to Belle Vernon in 1854. He conducted a store there for about 20 years;and in 1874 went into the livery business. In this he was interested at the time of his death. Mr.Roley was serving his fourth term as justice of the peace at the time of his death. His funeral will be held from the late home Saturday afternoon;January 22;1910;at 3 o’clock. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Barbara Bedsworth Nevin; 59; of Naples; Fla.; formerly of Belle Vernon; died Saturday; May 17; 2003; in Holy Cross Hospital; Silver Spring; Md. She was born Jan. 10; 1944; in Belle Vernon; the daughter of the late Roy and Barbara Lektrich Bedsworth. She was Presbyterian by faith. Mrs. Nevin was a graduate of Rostraver High School Class of 1961; Waynesburg College Class of 1965; and the University of Pittsburgh Class of 1968 with a master’s degree. She worked in the Washington; D.C.; area as a law clerk for a number of years. Survivors include her husband; Thomas Nevin; whom she married in 1970; and one son; Jacob John Nevin of Bethesda; Md. Harold Seifert;son of Mr.and Mrs.D.I.Seifert;who was taken to the McKeesport hospital last week;suffering of typhoid fever;died last night at 11:30. The remains were brought here today and will be taken to Belle Vernon tomorrow afternoon for interment. Harold Seifert was seventeen years old;was a most estimable young man;and his untimely demise has cast a gloom over his large circle of friends.
