She spent most of her life taking care of others and bringing sunshine into their lives. Mabel Round; 93; a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; died Thursday; May 12; 2005 in Mon Valley Hospital. Mabel taught 3rd grade for 38 years; first at LaGrange School in the Rostraver Township system and then at the North Belle Vernon School in the combined Rostraver/Belle Vernon system. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon where for many years she taught Sunday school. She was a 1929 graduate of Monessen High School and a 1931 graduate of California State Teachers College. She also was an avid bowler; golfer; enjoyed cooking and was a short stop softball player. Before her marriage; she worked at her father’s grocery store in Dunlevy.
