Jonathan C. Willey; 25; of Rostraver Township; died Friday; Aug. 4; 2006. The son of Eileen Sitko Willey; who survives and resides in Rostraver Township; and the late John Jack Willey; he was born in Pittsburgh on May 28; 1981. He was a member of St. Anne Roman Catholic Church; of Rostraver Township; where he had been an altar server and a Eucharistic minister for many years. He graduated from Belle Vernon Area High School in 1999; and attended St. Vincent College and Westmoreland County Community College. He was a past member of Boy Scout Troop 1590; where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was employed by the Westmoreland County Airport Authority in Rostraver. Frank A. Kostelac; a lifelong resident of Fairhope; died Monday morning; July 31; 2006; after nearly 93 years of life. Mr. Kostelac was a longstanding employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; where he maintained convivial relationships with his fellow workers. His avocation and true calling; music; sustained him spiritually throughout his long life. As a founding member of the Croatian folk orchestra; The Blue Danube; he entertained hundreds of people in the tri-state area at various events and venues; creating an avid following. He recorded several traditional Croatian favorites with his fellow band members and later also went on to play with other folk and popular bands. Mr. Kostelac was preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty-four years; Helen Bezego Kostelac; in 1999; and his first child; Franklin Dennis; in 1951. He was the devoted father of three surviving children; Rosemary Zir; of Sherborn; Mass.; Diana Kostelac Rosen; of Mendham; N.J.; and Thomas J. Kostelac; of Fayette City; along with their respective spouses; Dr. Leonard Zir; Daniel I. Rosen and Debra Kostelac. Among his five grandchildren; of whom he was most enamored and proud; was his eldest; Heather D. Zir; who passed from this life in 2004. Surviving grandchildren are Hilary Zir Hearty; along with her husband Alan Hearty; and Lindsay Zir; both of Los Angeles; Calif.; Elizabeth Kostelac; of New York; and Sarah Kostelac; a student at the University of Pittsburgh. Funeral services were held this morning for Genevieve Dudzik; 90; formerly of Monessen; who died Friday; July 28; 2006; in the Washington County Health Center. Born June 16; 1916; in Glassport; she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie Lipinska Wieczorek. For many years Mrs. Dudzik worked as a housekeeper in the Charleroi and Monessen areas. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church in Monessen and the former St. Leonard Catholic Church. Mrs. Dudzik was a member of the Eagles Club in Monessen and enjoyed making stained glass from her home. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law; John J. Jr. and Linda Dudzik; of Monongahela; a grandson; John J. Dudzik III and wife Becky; two granddaughters; Joyce Lynn Holsopple and husband Troy; and Becky Jo Dudzik; two great-granddaughters; Hanna and Shelby Holsopple; and many nieces and nephews. John was a gentlemen farmer and a life member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church; both in Rostraver Township. He retired April 30; 1983; from U.S. Steel; Irvin Works; after 41 years of service. He was a member of the Tri-County Lodge No. 643 F&AM; Donora; the Scottish Rite and the Syria Shrine Caravan; Pittsburgh. He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 790 in Smithton and the VFW Post No. 7023 of Perryopolis. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the European Theater during World War II.
