Elmay Horner; 84; of North Charleroi (Lock No. 4); went home to be with the Lord on Thursday; March 29; 2007; in the emergency room at Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born Aug. 23; 1922; in Altavista; Va.; the daughter of the late William and Nanie Morgan. A resident of the Mon Valley for most of her life; Mrs. Horner was a member in good standing at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Charleroi; where she was a missionary and a member of the usher board and the senior choir. Mrs. Horner was the mother of the church. She loved sitting in her kitchen with family and friends playing cards. Mrs. Horner also was an avid bingo player. She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge. Members will conduct a service Tuesday evening. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Clarence Slu Horner; and son; Clarence Archie Horner. She was a member of the Speers United Methodist Church and an affiliate member of Oakmont Presbyterian Church. Following a prolonged illness; she became a resident at Concordia at Rebecca Residence; where she served on their Resident Advisory Board. She was known for her gracious hospitality and loved to open her home to family and friends. Edward Fohner; 81; of Monessen; died Friday; March 23; 2007; in Havencrest Nursing Home; Carroll Township. Born May 31; 1925; in Monessen; he was the son of the late James L. and Mary Jane Spowart Fohner. He had been employed by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in Monessen as a pay officer. Mr. Fohner was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II; a member of the Donora American Legion; the Charleroi VFW and a member of Monessen Elks Lodge 773. Survivors include a sister; Mildred Fechter; of Barberton; Ohio; who is the last surviving member of 11 children; and numerous nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews. Mrs. Livingstone also was a past member of the Professional Women’s Sorority and a former interior decorator at Check’s Furniture Store in Monessen. On July 5; 1938; she married James H. Livingstone; who passed away in 1944. Survivors include one daughter; Iola M.
