James A. Moats; 78; of Belle Vernon (Washington Township); died Sunday; Dec. 13; 2009; at 8:52 a.m. at his home. Born March 13; 1931; in Fayette City; he was the son of the late Wesley and Mary Hutchinson Moates. A resident of Washington Township for the past 46 years; Mr. Moats was a member of the First Christian Church of Fayette City; and was a retired heavy equipment operator at Southwestern Railroad; Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He was a veteran of the Korean War; having served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Fayette City American Legion Post 484; McDonald’s Restaurant early morning coffee club in Rostraver Township; Perryopolis Senior Citizens Club; enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp in McKean County; and he also loved to garden and share his garden with neighbors. He dearly loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife; Donna Brewer Moats; to whom he was married 57 years; son and daughter-in-law; James A. and Sharon Moats of Winchester; Calif.; two daughters and son-in-law; LuAnn Onufer; of Monessen; Kathie and Dave Sekoski; of Washington Township; brother and sister-in-law; Paul and Virginia Moats; of Charleroi; three sisters and two brothers-in-law; Mary Kay Karcesky; of Perryopolis; Virginia and Tom Matty; of Star Junction; Thelma and Ben Yates; of Washington Township; seven grandchildren; Erin and Rachel Onufer; Deena Grubesky; Jayme and Jimmy Moats; Brandon and Zachary Sekoski; and three great-grandchildren; Devin; Jayden and Ronnie Lee; and pet dog Rascal. He was preceded in death by a brother; Melvin A. Moats; who was killed in action during the Korean War. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. Glenn A. McFall; 87; of Canonsburg; formerly of Bridgeville; passed away Sunday; May 1; 2011; in Allegheny General Hospital. A son of the late Arlie and Malissa Hendrickson McFall; he was born in Belle Vernon on April 10; 1924. Glenn was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Mrs. Chew was a member of First Christian Church in Charleroi and the Amicus Class; the Democratic Women’s Club of Monongahela and the North Charleroi Home and Hospital Club. She is survived by her husband; Frank D. Chew Jr.; with whom she celebrated 67 years of marriage on Aug. 10; 2007; one son; Frank D. Chew III and wife; Joanne; of Dayton; Ohio; two daughters; Linda Lapinsky; of North Charleroi; and Rosemarie Bird and husband; Ronald; of Belle Vernon; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law; Anthony Mosco; of Monessen; and several nieces and nephews. Edward A. D’Errico; 86; of Belle Vernon passed away peacefully in his home on Friday; December 14; 2007. A son of the late James D’Errico and Mary D’Errico Church; he was born in Monessen on December 31; 1920. Mr. D’Errico retired from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company in 1985 after 35 years of service and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
