Mariam Rocca; 92; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Sunday; April 3; 2011; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born in Rostraver Township on Feb. 15; 1919; she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Skrabotovic) Nusser. A homemaker; Mariam was Catholic by faith. She is survived by her sons; Nicholas P. Plevel; of Rostraver Township; and Richard D. Rocca; of Greensburg; her daughter; Marie Ann Hiles; of Grindstone; two grandchildren; Dana Lee Hiles and Cheyenne Nicole Hiles; one great-grandchild; Ella Marie Boone; and a sister; Tressa Slebodnik; of Irwin. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her first husband; Nicholas Plevel; second husband; Richard E. Joseph D. Rinehart; 92; of Altamonte Springs; Fla.; passed away Sunday; Feb. 28; 2010; in his home. A son of the late Joseph R. and Jessie Dumire Rinehart; he was born in Cumberland; Md.; on April 15; 1917. He was a founder of the Calvary Bible Church of Charleroi and enjoyed gardening and photography. Formerly of Rostraver Township; he had resided in Florida since 1982. Joe was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired in 1982 from the U.S. Steel Research Center in Monroeville; where he was a research analyst. Survivors include four daughters; Lorna Rinehart; with whom he made his home in Altamonte Springs; Pam Strubakis; Debra Cannon-Rinehart; and Sandra Rinehart; all of Apopka; Fla.; and four grandchildren; Joanne Strubakis; David Ward; Laura Hubbard and Jessie Sutton. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; Lenora L. Rinehart; on Sept. 19; 1999; and one sister; Doris Craun.
