Born September 25; 1969; in North Charleroi; he was the son of Thomas and Gloria Wozniak Hackenson. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon; was a retired fireman and EMT from U.S. Steel; Clairton Works; and a life member of the Washington Township Fire Department. In addition to his parents; he is survived by two brothers and one sister-in-law; David and Tracey Hackenson; and Bruce Hackenson; all of Belle Vernon; two nephews; Trey and Tanner Hackenson; his maternal grandmother; Kathryn Tisot Wozniak; of Washington Township; and his very special cat; Tigger. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather; Alex Wozniak; and his paternal grandparents; Harry and Ann Hackenson. Elsie Pavlekovsky Falibota; 90; formerly of Belle Vernon; passed away peacefully on Tuesday; March 25; 2008; at 4:30 p.m. at Presbyterian Senior Care; Washington; Pa. Elsie was born January 6; 1918; in Charleroi; the daughter of the late Steven and Mary Kovach Pavlekovsky. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years; Morse Falibota; in 1983; and a brother; Robert Pavlekovsky; in 2006. Elsie was a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Falibota was a homemaker who; for many years; was a member of the Mon Valley Arc and the Tuesday Evening Civic Club. Elsie was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon; the Legion of Mary and the church funeral choir. She was dearly loved by her children; Kathleen M. (Ronald) Parshall; of Coal Center; Michael G. (Dawn) Falibota; of Elizabeth; and Mary Beth Falibota; of Belle Vernon. Ferna L. Nogy; 62; of Belle Vernon; passed away Friday; March 21; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Hilda Mae Dottie Zollars; she was born in North Charleroi on Nov. 21; 1945. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Ferna was a member and deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. For more than 25 years; she was well-known in the mental health and aging communities and was the director of communications for Cordia Commons and Wellspring at Huntingdon Ridge. Survivors include her husband; Walter B. Nogy; whom she married April 15; 1964; a daughter; Stacey Nogy; of Hastings; Minn.; a son and daughter-in-law; Wade and Carolyn Nogy; of San Ramon; Calif.; and her dog; Luke. Thomas Hack Hackenson; 74; of Belle Vernon; Washington Township; died Monday; Dec. 26; 2011; at 12:30 a.m. at Jefferson Regional Medical Center; Jefferson Borough. Born Jan. 22; 1937; in Belle Vernon; he was the son of the late Harry Hackenson Jr. and Ann Konecheck Hackenson. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Mr. Hackenson was Presbyterian by faith and was a retired conductor from the Monessen S.W. railroad; the Monongahela railroad; which later became Conrail; and Norfolk Southern railroads. He was a member of the Fayette City/Washington Township Lions Club; East Belle Vernon Athletic Club; Slavik Club in Lock Four; and coached Little League baseball and midget football; both in Lynnwood. Tom had also served on the Belle Vernon Area School Board for eight years; as president for four years and vice president for four years. He is survived by his wife; Gloria Wozniak Hackenson; to whom he was married 52 years; two sons and a daughter-in-law; Bruce Hackenson; of Belle Vernon; David and Tracey Hackenson; of Belle Vernon; two grandchildren; Trey Hackenson and Tanner Hackenson; and a sister and brother-in-law; Ruth Ann and her husband; Gregg.
