Private funeral services were held today; Monday; March 10; 2008; for Frances Guzick Morgan; 85; of Charleroi; who passed away Sunday; March 9; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital. Mrs. Morgan was born December 29; 1922; in Charleroi; the daughter of the late John W. and Aquilla Chomkowicz Guzick. She was a member of the Connellsville Bible Students. Surviving are two sons; George Morgan; of Tennessee; and Thomas Morgan; of Maryland; and four grandsons; Adam; Michael; Kurt and Daniel Morgan. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Jack Morgan; four brothers; Joseph; Nick; Charles and John Guzick; and six sisters; Martha Balko; Leach Guzick; Ollie MacAlister; Anna Mae Wysocki; Mary Nannini and Esther Fenchak. He was born in Westmoreland County on November 15; 1955; the son of the late Charles and Sarah Johnston Gregory. He was a retired auto worker from the Volkswagen plant at New Stanton. Wilfred Williams; 82; of Star Junction; passed away Wednesday; March 21; 2012. He was born in Perryopolis; on Feb. 26; 1930; the son of the late Iva N. Williams. He is a proud veteran; having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He retired from U.S. Steel Irvin Works. He was a member of the Perryopolis VFW Post 7023. Wilfred is survived by his loving wife of 52 years; Dorothy (West) Williams; one daughter; Brenda Merritt and companion; Vaughn Watson; of Royal; Pa.; one son; Joseph Williams; of Star Junction; two granddaughters; Brittany Merritt and fiance; Ryan Guthrie; of Smock; and Samantha Merritt and companion; Adam Clark; of Royal; Pa.; two great-grandsons; Hunter Brown and Elijah Merritt; two sisters; Shirley Covan; of Ohio; and Audrey Lynn; of Belle Vernon; and a furry companion; Gidget. He was preceded in death by his mother; one brother; Clarence Williams; and one son-in-law; Jerry Merritt.
