Helen Barbour; 72; of Pittsburgh; went to be with the Lord on Monday; Jan. 11; 2010; at her home. Born on April 20; 1937; in Monessen; she was the daughter of the late Rev. John Hughes and Theofa Jefferies-Hughes. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her loving husband; Carl A. Barbour; a son; Daniel Carpenter; five brothers; John Freeman; Floyd; James; Jerry and Sam; and three sisters; Ruth; Thelma and Rose. Helen was formerly employed by The City of Monessen; W.T. Grants; and Youth and Child Services. She was a former member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and Gate of Heaven COGIC in Monessen; Greater Harvest Fellowship COGIC in North Carolina and spent her last days as a member of Lamb of God Christian Ministries of Pittsburgh. She served on the missionary board; as a youth choir director; choir member and other various capacities during her walk with Christ. She is survived by one son; Michael (Stacey) Smith; seven stepsons; Daniel Jr.; Gregory; Darryl; Dennis; Tony and Brent Carpenter and Kevin Barbour; four daughters; Michelle Smith; Tina (Elder Joseph) Bass; Deanna Carpenter; and Terri Barbour; two stepdaughters Darlene Greene-Kilgore and Toshia Carpenter; two sisters; Betty Sartor and June Scott; three brothers; Joseph Hughes; Robert Hughes and Larry Hughes; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Newness of Life Church; 489 McKee Ave.; Monessen. An additional viewing will be held in the church on Saturday; Jan. 16; from 10 to 11 a.m.; followed by a funeral service with Elder J. Richard Bass officiating. Lewis H. Beaumont Sr.; 94; of Monessen; passed away Tuesday; Jan. 17; 2012; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born March 10; 1917; in North Belle Vernon; son of the late Oliver H. and Ethel M. Beaumont. Mr. Beaumont was a member of the First Baptist Church in Belle Vernon. A World War II veteran; he served with the Air Force in the China Burma Campaign as a staff sergeant. Mr. Beaumont was self-employed as a sign painter and had painted for numerous advertising companies and businesses throughout the Mon Valley. A lot of his work is still recognizable throughout the area. He loved to do oil paintings in his spare time. In addition to his parents; he was predeceased by his wife; Margaret E. Betty Bronder Beaumont; a daughter; Mary Beaumont; and a grandson; Lewis Cochran. Survivors include three sons; Lewis H. Beaumont Jr.; of Coraopolis; Dennis Beaumont and wife; Darla J.; of Centerville; and John Beaumont and wife; Shirley; of Monessen; three daughters; Carol Cochran and husband; Robert; of Charleroi; Kathleen Nichols and husband; Carl; of Monessen; and Michelle Lyons and husband Edward; of Monessen; grandchildren; Christopher Cochran; John Beaumont; Adam Beaumont; Carl Nichols Jr.; Melissa Swiantek; Dawn Rutherford; and Lauren E. Beaumont; great-grandchildren; Samantha and Cassandra Swiantek; David Rutherford; Autumn and Michael Cochran; and numerous nieces; nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held in the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC.; 1209 Grand Blvd.; Monessen; on Thursday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held in the First Baptist Church; Belle Vernon; on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Stanley Kobosky; 91; of Belle Vernon (Fairhope); died Wednesday; July 9; 2008; in The Uniontown Hospital. He was born September 9; 1916; in Smithton; a son of the late Walter Kobosky and the late Mary Sleyzak Kobosky. He was retired from General Motors; Fisher Body plant. Mr. Kobosky was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post No. 659; the Fairhope Rod & Gun Club and Naomi AC Club. Surviving are three daughters; Pauline Tingey and Christine Page; both of London; and Bernadine Vivian; of Carlisle; brother; Carl Kobosky; of Oklahoma City; Okla.; three sisters; Katie Olesko; of New Jersey; Alma McLaughlin; of Belle Vernon; and Sara Farkas; of Monessen; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and two special nieces; Judith Vollmar and Patricia Polacek; both of Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by a son; Stanley Kobosky; brother; Walter Kobosky; and two sisters; Helen Vollmer and Anna Moyers. Friends will be received in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City (724-326-5621); on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday; July 12; until 10 a.m.; when a blessing service will take place with the Rev.
