James G. Salisbury; 74; of Irwin; Sewickley Township; died Saturday; June 28; 2008; in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital; Greensburg. He was born Sept. 14; 1933; in Washington; Pa.; the son of the late James Salisbury and the late Alice Means Salisbury. He was retired from U.S. Steel and Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a driver. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his wife; Helen McCullough Salisbury; son; James G. Salisbury II and wife; Kathy; of Madison; two daughters; Valerie Desmond and husband; James; of Irwin; and Deborah Turnsek and husband; John; of West Newton; two sisters; Margaret Bell and husband; John; of Bucyrus; Ohio; and Hope Amos and husband; Don; of Harlingen; Texas; and seven grandchildren; Ashley and Katlyn Salisbury; Dale and Amber Desmond; Daniel Turnsek; Christina Turnsek and John JJ Turnsek. Elizabeth L. Ramsey; 75; of North Charleroi; died Friday; June 27; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born March 7; 1933; in Charleroi; a daughter of the late Lloyd and Martha Verkleeren Peggford. Mrs. Ramsey was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Charleroi and the Mon Valley YMCA. She was retired from Mon Valley Hospital. Surviving is her sister; Janet Belarski; of Gainesville; Fla.; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews. John Snuffy Calvin Whynn; of Monessen; passed away peacefully at the home of his son on Thursday; June 27; 2013; surrounded by his family. Born in Uniontown Hospital Sept. 6; 1950; he was the son of the late Calvin Smith and Doris Whynn Smith and beloved husband of the late Aleena Whynn. He was the father of Kirt Whynn (Miranda) and Waukesta Lee Whynn (Roni); who survive. Also surviving are his loving sisters; Elizabeth East; Shelva Haleaysus; Cheryl Hines; Debra Williams; Patricia Charlock; and brothers; Robert Smith; Bruce Smith and Mark Smith; 19 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
