Adelia Yasko; 90; of Monessen; passed away Wednesday; Sept. 30; 2009; in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born Sept. 17; 1919; in Belle Vernon; a daughter of the late Stanley and Caroline Duda Wall. She was a member of St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church of Monessen and the Church’s Ladies Altar Guild. Mrs. Yasko had been the Owner/Operator of Dales Pizza Shop in Monessen. Surviving are two daughters; Janet and husband William Bunardzya of Belle Vernon; and Debra and husband Robert Shaub of Lancaster; three granddaughters; Kyra Bunardzya; Chryste and husband Nicholas Zimmerman; and Brittany Shaub and fiance Steve Van Note; a sister; Ann Fairman of Punxsutawney; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; John Yasko; two brothers; Joseph and Michael Wall; and a sister; Stella Billak. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC.; family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule; 1209 Grand Boulevard; Monessen; where friends will be received on Sunday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Parastas service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Prayers will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by services at St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church with Father Rumen Stoychev officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

John Buck Buchton Jr.; 90; of Fairhope; Washington Township; died Friday; April 2; 2010; in Country Care Manor; Washington Township. He was born March 11; 1920; in Fairhope; son of the late John Buchton and Julia Satar Buchton. A retired coal miner; he was a veteran of the U.S. Army; having served in the Pacific Theater with Merills Mauraders. He was a Life Member of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Co.; Fairhope Rod and Gun Club; and VFW Post No. 699; Belle Vernon. Surviving are his wife; Pauline Komperda Buchton; daughter; Barbara Bridge and husband; Donald; of Belle Vernon; son; Raymond Buchton and wife; Elizabeth; of Port Royal; Va.; four grandsons; Donald Bridge and Georgann; of Great Mills; Md.; Daniel Bridge; of Newport News; Va.; David Bridge and Samantha; of Ellsworth; and Travis Buchton; of Oceanside; Calif. He was preceded in death by two sisters; Mary Sholtis and Susanne Strychalski.
