Steve Rebel Fedora; 77 of Alva; WY; passed away Tuesday; September 25; 2012 at his ranch in Alva; Wyoming.
He was born December 30; 1934 in Fayette CIty; PA; son of the late Michael Fedora and Mary Brody Fedora Davies.
Steve attended school inFayette City and was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War having received the National Defense Medal;Korean Service Medal and United Nation Service medal. Steve was in the import and export business in NJ and Ny prior to his retirement. Steve was a diehard Steelers fan who enjoyed gardening and traveling. He deeply loved his family and grandchildren and took great pride in being a baseball and football coach. He loved his horses Frenchie and Rebel and had a passion for Lucky-n-Loose slots in Deadwood.
He is survived by son; Stephen Fedora of Alva; WY; daughter; Debbie Fedora of Staten Island;NY; son; Michael Fedora of Ormond Beach; Fl; son; Derek Fedora of Nazareth; Pa.; son; David Fedora of Blandon;Pa;; grandchildren Stephen Fedora of Denver Co.; Garrett Fedora of Alv; WY; David Fedora of Blandon;Pa; Rianna Fedora of Ormond beach;FL.; Kaelin Fedora of Blandon;Pa;Marissa Fedora of Ormond Beach;Fl; Logan Fedora of Mazareth;Pa; Tashina Spaid of Alva;WY; sister; Mary White of Livonia;MI; sister; Marge Book of Fayette City;Pa.; brother; Louis Davies of Vanderbilt;Pa.; brother; Thomas Davies of Wilkes-Barre;Pa; sister; Nellie Redmond of Fayette City;Pa and aunt; Irene Pollock of Charleroi;Pa. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by wife Diane Jenkins Fedora; five brothers John; Michael; Charles & George Fedora and Frank Davies; one sister Anna Fedora.
Friends will be received Tuesday; October 2; 2012 from 2- 4 & 7- 9 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home;Inc.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City; PA.(724)-326-5621;www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Emma Irene (Tomayko) Lancaster; 82; of Indiana; Pa.; formerly of Rostraver Township; passed away on Dec. 8; 2013; at Indiana Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Emma was born on Oct. 7; 1931; in Perryopolis; to Frank and Anna (Simko) Tomayko. She was united in marriage on May 3; 1952 to Glen A. Lancaster Jr. and happily married for 42 years until Glen’s death. Emma lived her life in community and her love made all our lives better. She grew up in Perryopolis; where she was active in her high school band and St John’s Catholic Church. She and her husband built their family home in the Sweeney Plan and lived there for 46 years. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church; Rostraver Township. She was one of the many Sweeney Plan Moms who directly and indirectly raised a generation of neighborhood children. In 1971; Glen and Emma joined the Peace Corps and with their two teenage children; Donald and Doris; and toddler; David; living for two years in Kingston; Jamaica (XII). The Lancaster family befriended many young volunteers. Reunions with Peace Corps volunteers at Emma’s house; and now her son Donald’s home; have continued for 42 years. After her husband’s retirement; they traveled the country in their recreational vehicle. Emma and her sister; Roseann; hosted Christmas Eve dinners in the Slovak custom of their parents; creating a cherished family tradition. She had a deep connection with friends and family sending cards and letters; seldom missing a birthday or anniversary. Emma loved social gatherings playing card games; hosting cookouts and knitting washcloths to give away. She found happiness and contentment living the last six years of her life in Clairvaux Commons in Indiana; Pa.; managed by two exceptional women; Sister Ada and Sister Marilyn. Mrs. Lancaster is survived by her brother Robert (Dorothy) Tomajko of Twinsburg; Ohio; sister; Roseann Oldham of Perryopolis; son; Donald (Dr. Faye Bradwick) Lancaster of Indiana; Pa.; daughter; Dr. Doris (Dr. Kurt Peters) Lancaster of Colorado Springs; Colo.; and son; Dr. David (Janna) Lancaster; Columbia; Mo. She has six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; Dr. Ian (Rachel) Peters and their daughter; Keira Marie; Kyle (Amy) Peters; Jason Peters; Gillian Lancaster; Leo Lancaster; and Beatrice Lancaster. Visitation will be held Friday morning Dec. 13 from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at the St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church; Indiana; Pa.; where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following the visitation hour at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery; Belle Vernon. Service arrangements are with the RAIRIGH-BENCE FUNERAL HOME; INC.; of Indiana.
