Shirley M. Como; 77; of North Belle Vernon; died Saturday; Dec. 20; 2008; at her home. A daughter of the late Catherine Alice Butler and John R. Wagner; she was born in Donora; Dec. 24; 1930. Shirley was a member of First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon; the United Methodist Women; the Ruth Circle; and had been a volunteer for the Mon Valley Literacy Council. She graduated from the former Donora High School in 1948; and had resided in Belle Vernon for the past 56 years. Shirley worked in the credit department of the former Montgomery Ward Co. in Donora and then in Fort Worth; Texas; where she transferred to follow her husband’s Air Force service. In the early ’60s; she also worked as secretary to the board of the former North Belle Vernon School District. Survivors include a daughter; Sandra E. Como; of North Belle Vernon; two nephews; David Boyd; of Lantana; Fla.; and Robert Boyd; of East Stroudsburg; a niece; Joni Boyd; and a grandniece; Jasmine Boyd; both of Clermont; Fla. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Ross E. Como; in 1993; her daughter; Cynthia Ann Como; in 1954; and her brother; Wayne G. Boyd. There will be no public visitation or funeral services. Graveside services and interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. George Judy Sutovich;93;of Monessen on Tuesday July 14 in Mercy Hospital;Pittsburgh.Born in Monessen on March 22;1916;he was the son of the late Marko and Mildred Gydich Sutovich.He retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co.and Adelman Lumber.He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church;Slovak Club;Croatian Club and the Ukrainian Club.Besides his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife Anna Sutovich;four brothers;Nick;Charles and Stanley Sutovich and John Sucevic;and two sisters;Helen Relich and Anna Povich.He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law; Mildred and Bob Quigley of Long Brance;Judy and Albert Stepoli of Monessen and Darlene Boyle of Monessen;13 grandchildren;George Quigley;Howard Quigley;Laura Ann Gillon;Judy Davin;Tim Quigley;Robert Quigley;Cheryl Simsic;John Baldwin;Georgian Weilert;Patti Bahl;Jennifer Ford;Amber English and Leslie Basher;numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren;one sister;Anna Mae Kaboly of Monessen;son-in-law Blaine Boyle and numerous nieces and nephews.
