Georgia Mae Hissom Wisyanski; 71; of Fairhope; Belle Vernon; passed away Tuesday; Feb. 24; 2009; at her home; after almost a two-year battle with ovarian cancer; with her husband by her side. She was born Feb. 1; 1938; in Washington Township; a daughter of the late Elmer Hissom and the late Ruth Winters Hissom. She was a member of Community of Christ Church; Fayette City. She enjoyed reading; sewing; cooking and going to the Longaberger Factory. She sewed for many people in the area. She is survived by her loving husband; Warner Wisyanski; daughter; Maureen Wisyanski Hughes and husband; Edgar; of Belle Vernon; two grandsons; whom she idolized; Paul Lauteri and Nathan Lauteri and wife; Crystal; four great-grandchildren; Jacob; Jurnee; Selina and Phillip; two sisters; Olive Vivio; of Flatwoods; and Claire Smith; of McClellandtown; eight brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces; nephews and cousins; and much extended family. She was preceded in death by brother; Kenneth Hissom; in 2002. Andrew R. Wassilchalk; 58; of Bentleyville; died Saturday; Feb. 21; 2009; in his home. He was born Oct. 4; 1950; in Charleroi; a son of Kathleen (Daughterty) Wassilchalk; who survives and resides in Pricedale (Rostraver Township); and the late Andrew Wassilchalk; who died Dec. 27; 1968. He was a 1968 graduate of Belle Vernon High School and enjoyed theatre; going to flea markets; and traveling. Mr. Wassilchalk worked in the Production Division of Corning Glass; Charleroi; for 36 1/2 years; and retired in 2006. He was a member of Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church; the Belgian and Russian clubs; all in Charleroi; and Charleroi American Legion Post No. 22. Surviving; in addition to his mother; are two daughters; Stacy LaRue and Tracy Brownfield; both of Charleroi; four grandchildren; Jessica and Shannon LaRue; Ashley Wassilchalk and Wayne Kittle; one sister; Winifred (Richard) Marsland; of Belle Vernon; one brother; Nick Wassilchalk; of Pricedale; his fiancee; Charlene Daniloff; and several nieces and nephews.
