He was born January 29; 1935 in Sulfer Springs; WV; Son of the late Frank W. Hewitt and the late Ida Gladys Bradley Hewitt He was a veteran of the US Air Force.

Surviving are 2 Daughters; Kimberly Hewitt; Linda Horrell of Belle Vernon; 3 Sons; James Hewitt; Ernest Hewitt; JR; of AZ and Ed Macik of Anaheim; CA; Brother; Julian Hewitt & wife Janet of Charleroi; Sister; Edith Urwin & husband Donald of Monongahela; 11 Grandchildren; Johnny;Garrett;AnthonyDwayne;Ernest III; Kristie;Nathan;Bayden;Nick;Michael and Aaron. Also survived by his former wife Joann Hewitt and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers Henry & wife Janet Hewitt.Albert; Raymond and Jesse Hewitt; sister Ila Kate Dozonko Chalfant.

Friends will be received in the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home; Inc.; Main St.; Fayette City on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Monday; September 14; 2009 until 10:00 AM the hour of services with Rev. DW Norton officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery; Belle Vernon; Pa.
