Cynthia Marie Kobaly; Cindy 55 of Rostraver Twp.;went to be with the Lord on Thursday; August 31; 2012 at the Family Care Hospice Center in Mt. Lebanon; Pa.; after a long and courageous battle with cancer; she is now at peace. Cindy was surrounded by her family as she departed for her new life in God. .
Cindy was born Janusry 30; 1957 ain the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital in North Charleroi; PA; a daughter of the late Milton P. Kobaly and Ann Gohosky Kobaly George who survives from Belle Vernon;Pa. .
Cindy embraced life with a gusto. She graduated from mon Valley Catholic high School in 1975 and was listed in Who’s Who’s as a high school student. She was a graduate of the Washington School of Nursing and later received her Public School Nursing degree from California University of Pa. In addition to her nursing career; Cindy was an entrepreneur. She at one time owned and operated a carpet store and recently formed the USA IV Nurses Inc. before her health declined there was nothing she was afraid to tackle. She baked wedding cakes for people in the community including her sister. She loved decorating her home with artistic arrangements; she had excellent taste
As a nurse her patients loved her and she easily made friends. Cindy always put other people’s needs in front of her own; which is why she was a excellent nurse. When she was 10 years old she had a backyard fundraiser for Children’s Hospital. She raised $ 51.00 which was sent to the hospital this was considered a lot of money in 1967. When she was 13 she helped the family cat deliver kittens. She was a faithful member of the Bible Alliance Church in West Newton; Pa. where she received spiritual guidance.
She is survived by her mother; Ann Gohosky Kobaly George and step father Audra (Art) of Belle Vernon; sister; Bonita (Bonnie) Kline and husband Dennis; brother Milton P Kobaly II and his children; Alesandra;Jacob;Milton;Angel and granddaughter Claira and many aunts; uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father; Milton P. Kobaly; sister; Margaret Peggy Kobaly; grandparents Albert and Jennie Gohosky and Wasil and Anna Kobaly and many aunts; uncles and cousins..
Friends will be received Monday; September 03; 2012 from noon to 8 pm in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home;Inc. 334 Main St.; Fayette City; PA.(724)-326-5621; www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Additional viewing will be held Tuesday; Sept 4; 2012 from 9 to 10 am in the Bible Alliance Church; West Newton where funeral services will take place at 10:00 am with Pastor Frank Todaro officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery; Belle Vernon; Pa.
