Rose M.Leon Alberini;80;of 406 Belle Vernon Apartments;died Sunday;March 19;1989;at 6 a.m.at Central Medical Pavillion;Pittsburgh. She was born on March 16;1909;in Pittsburgh;a daughter of the late Domenick and Parmina Calfa Leon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph (Blackie) Alberini in 1972;and by one grandson;Mark J.Sanino in 1960. Mrs.Alberini was Catholic by faith and had resided in the Belle Vernon area since 1954;having previously resided in Pittsburgh. She is survived by one daughter;Mrs.Raymond (Norma) J.Sanino of Belle Vernon;three grandchildren;Capt.Raymond Sanino II of McGuire Air Force Base;N.J.;Michael J.Sanino of Belle Vernon;and Lynda J.Sanino of Woodbridge;Va.;and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be recieved Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. was 71.
Mrs; Auther was born Oct. 17;
1917; in Donora; a daughter of
the late Michael and Malunka
Paraschak Scrip.
She was Russian Orthodox by
faith.
Mrs. Auther was retired from
Corning Glass in Charleroi.
In addition to her parents she
was preceded in death by her
husband; Bert Lee Auther; 1961;
a son; James Lee; and two
brothers; Joseph and Peter
Scrip.
Survivors include four
brothers; John and Frank Scrip;
both of Roscoe; Mike Scrip of
Elco and Harry Scrip of
Dunlevy; many nieces and
nephews.

Park; Donora. died Thursday; Oct.
27; 1998; at 6:54 p.m. in Mon Valley
Hospital after being stricken by an
apparent heart attack.
He was 58.
Mr. Alvarez was born March 16;
1930; in New Eagle; a son of Mary
Campa Alvarez of Donora and the
late Jose Alvarez Sr.
He had been a police officer in the
Borough of Donora since 1954; and
was named chief in 1976.
A U.S. Army veteran of the
Korean Conflict; Mr. Alvarez was a
member of the Mon Valley Police
Chiefs Association and Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 87. A 1948 graduate of Donora high School;he was also a member of the Spanish Club and Ernest E.Jobes Post 212 American Legion;both in Donora. In addition to his mother;survivors include his wife;Shirley Louise Alvarez;a daughter; Mrs John (Twila Marie) Rank of Houston;Texas;one son;Jose Alvarez III at home;a grandson;James Joseph Rank;a granddaughter;Hallie Kay Rank;many aunts;uncles;nieces and nephews. Charles Baumgardner;73;of Grindstone;formerly of Denbo;died Thursday;Feb.18;1988;in the Wightman Health Center;Pittsburgh. Mr.Baumgardner was born Nov.9;1916;in Cambria County;Pa.;a son of the late Oliver and Mary Benson Baumgardner. He retired as a coal miner with the Vesta Number 5 Mine. Mr.Baumgardner was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of West Brownsville;which he served as a Sunday School teacher and elder.
