John R.Bell of 304 Baltimore St.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;Sept.15;1983;at 6:40 a.m.in the Waddington Nursing Home. He was 78. Mr.Bell was born Sept.26;1904;in Belle Vernon;a son of the late Robert and Pearl Baldwin Bell. He was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion;the VFW of Ebensburg and the Carpenters Union. Mr.Bell had been a self-employed general contractor. He served in the U.S.Navy during World War II as a chief petty officer. Survivors include his widow;Dorothy Gillingham Bell;one daughter;Mrs.LLoyd (Betty) Lazzari of Belle Vernon;one son;Fritzie Frazier of Belle Vernon;four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. There will be no public visitation and funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Mr. Bondi was the son of

He resided in Fisher
Heights for the past five
years; but was formerly of
Belle Vernon. He retired
from the WheelingPittsburgh Steel Corp.;
Monessen plant; in 1957.
In addition to his parents;
he was preceded in death by a
brother; John in 1938; and a
sister; Nellie Mannina.
Survivors include a son;

Miss Bello was born June 25;1922;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of Mary Costello Bello;with whom she made her home;and the late Thomas Bello Sr. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Nanty Glo. Miss Bello was also a member of the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association. She had served for three years as a nurse in the U.S.Air Force. Miss Bello had lived in Nanty Glo for the past 50 years. In addition to her mother;survivors include two brothers;Thomas Bello Jr.;of East Aurora;N.Y.and John A.Bello of Wilmington;Del.;one sister;Katherine Medve of Greensburg;and several nieces and nephews.
