Mr. Buchanan was born in
Fall River; Mass..on Sept. 25;
1919; a son of the late Grant
and Clara Rothwell
Buchanan.
A lifelong resident of the
Pricedale community; he was
a member of the Char-Belle
Free Methodist Church; Belle
Vernon; and a World War II
veteran having served with
the U.S. Army.
He retired in 1981 from the
screening station of the coke plant at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp’s Monessen Plant. He was preceded in death by a brother;Arthur Buchanan in 1969. Survivors include his widow;Mary Bartek Buchanan;one son;Thomas Buchanan of Belle Vernon;two daughters;Mrs.Michael (Dolores) Roskovich of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Roy D.(Judith) Johnson of Fellsburg;two brothers;Lynwood Buchanan and Donald Buchanan;both of Fall River;Mass.;two sisters;Miss Olivia Buchanan of Fall River;Mass.and Mrs.George (Ethel) Welsh of Swansca;Mass.;five grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m.in the funeral home;with the Rev.Walter Kirkland;pastor;Char-Belle Free Methodist Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Gene Brazack of 415 Baltimore St.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;May 13;1982 at 1:30 p.m.in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was 77. Mrs.Brazack was born Sept.7;1904;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late William and Jennie Hall Lehew. A member of St.John’s Lutheran Church;Charleroi;she was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon. Mrs.Brazack was an employee of the former Spencer Buick Co.in Charleroi for 33 years. She was preceded in death by her husband;Andrew Brazack;on May 6;1976. Survivors include one stepdaughter;Mary Jane Hanson of Florida;four nephews;James K.Adams of Bentleyville;George W.Adams of Belle Vernon;Dale W.Lehew of Charleroi and Carey V.Lehew of Belle Vernon;and one niece;Norma J.DuPriest of Falls Church;Va. John M.Bacha of 304 Center St.;Lynnwood;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;March 24;1982;at 4 p.m. while walking near his home. He was 66. Mr.Bacha was born May 8;1915 in Monessen;a son of the late Matthew and Anna Borzik Bacha. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 32 years;he was a member of St.Sebastian R.C.Church. Mr.Bacha retired in August of 1977 from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;where he was employed as a rigger. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Monessen;the Belle Vernon Musical Society;the Pricedale Hungarian Club;and United Steelworkers of America. Mr.Bacha was a U.S.Navy veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a brother Michael and four sisters;Margaret Bacha;Mary Kohan;Helen Kuchma and Anna Cutter. Survivors include his widow;Josephine Lubas Bacha;three sons;John F.Bacha of Mount Lebanon;Robert Bacha at home and George Bacha of Belle Vernon;two daughters;Mrs.Larry (Lorraine) Kibler of Belle Vernon and Joanne Bacha at home;two sisters;Elizabeth Bacha of Monessen and Mrs.Stephen (Agnes) Gaydos of Donora;one granddaughter;Allison Kibler;and three grandsons;Ryan Kibler;John Joseph Bacha and Jason Bacha.
