Kessler Q.Clegg;82;of 814 Washington Road;Belle Vernon;died Saturday;Feb.25;1995;in the Willis Nursing Home;Homestead. Mr.Clegg was born July 18;1912;in Clarksburg;W.Va.;a son of the late Robert L.and Myrtle Queen Clegg. He retired in 1977 from the Packard Electric Division of General Motors in Warren;Ohio. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church;Charleroi;Charleroi F&AM Lodge No.615;Washington Council No.1;Royal and Select Master Masons of Washington;McKean Commandery No.80;Knights Templar;Monessen Royal Arch Chapter No.290;Charleroi BPO Elks No.484;and the North American Hunting Club. Mr.Clegg was also a life member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite;the Charleroi Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No.167;the Belle Vernon American Legion Post No.659;and the National Rifle Association. He had been a resident of Belle Vernon the past 12 years. Mr.Clegg was a U.S.Navy veteran of World War II where he attained the rank of motor machinist mate second class. His wife;Helen B.Glegg;died Aug.31;1988. Two brothers;Roy Garrett Clegg and Elway Van Clegg;are also deceased. Surviving are one sister;Hazel Southworth of North Charleroi and one sister-in-law;Hilda Clegg of Henderson;Nev. He is also survived by five nieces and one nephew. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Services will be held Monday by Belle Vernon American Legion Post No.659 at 7 p.m.and Charleroi F&AM Lodge No.615 at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m.in the funeral home with the Rev.Edward Hammitt;pastor;First United Methodist Church;Charleroi;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Norbert R;Cutter;72;of 402 Rostraver Road;Belle Vernon;died Monday;Feb.13;1995;at his residence. Mr.Cutter was born Feb.8;1923;in Monessen;a son of the late Alex and Loretta Keller Cutter. He retired in 1985 from the former Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation;where he was employed as a craneman. Mr.Cutter was a tech sergeant in the U.S.Air Force during World War II;serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was a former squadron commander for the Civil Air Patrol No.605 and has held a private pilot’s license for many years. Mr.Cutter was a member of St.George Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church of Masontown;Fayette County. He was also a member of F&AM Lodge No.643 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No.699;both of Belle Vernon. Mr.Cutter was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon. Surviving are his wife;Sophoa Radock Cutter;with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on Jan.8;1995;two daughters;Mrs.Don (Vicki) Beckman of Rostraver Township and Mrs.Dick (Lorri Jo) Kujawski of Speers;two brothers;Erral Cutter of Bena;Va.;and Vern Cutter of Fayette City;one sister;Rosemeri Adamczyk of Belle Vernon;and two grandchildren;Erika Beckman and Jacob Kujawski. He was preceded in death by a brother;Harold Cutter;in 1984. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m.with the Rev.Svetozar Veselinovich of St.George’s Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church;Masontown;officiating.
