had previously worked for the

Mrs.Cohen was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon;the Belle Vernon American Legion Auxiliary;the Goldenagers of Belle Vernon and Charleroi;the Long Branch Grange;and was a past noble grand master of the Belle Vernon Rebekkahs. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Hymie;by five brothers;Eugene;Louis;Leon;George and Lawrence Moreau;and two sisters;Angel Reach and Mary Ferrari. Harriett Roberta Staff Couser;87;of Webster;died Monday;May 17;1999;in Westmoreland Manor;Greensburg. She was born in Westmoreland County on Feb.5;1912;a daughter of the late Jack and Sara (Dunn) Staff. Mrs.Couser was a homemaker and was Protestant by faith. She attended the Webster United Methodist Church. She was past president of the Rostraver Fire Company No.1 Ladies Auxiliary in Webster and was very active in the organization for many years. During World War II;she worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad in Shire Oak. She has also worked for the New York State Letchworth Institution. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law;Charles Barry and Margaret Couser of Webster;a brother;Jack Staff of Carroll Township;two sisters;Catherine Ryan of Charleroi and Bernice Carlson of Fayette City:10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. In 1930;she married Charles D.Couser;who preceded her in death on Sept.17;1985. She was also preceded in death by a daughter;Barbara Tomcanin in 1975;a brother;Harry Staff;and by two sisters;Florence Cooper and Jenny Columbus. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service and interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
