He was born in Pricedale;Rostraver Township;on Aug.26;1920;a son of the late Ziga and Elizabeth Herbai Evans. Mr.Evans was a member of the Calvary Tabernacle Church in Monongahela. He had been a lifelong resident of Rostraver Township. He retired from General Motors;Fisher Body Division;in 1982. Mr.Evans held memberships in the National Rifle Association and the Pennsylvania Trappers Association Inc. A veteran of World War II;he had served in the South Pacific in the Seabees of the Navy. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his brother;John (Sonny) Evans. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by two brothers;Charles and Philip.
