Born Aug.14;1940;in Fairhope;he was a son of the late LeRoy and Rose Dragan Emerick. He was a member of Marion Presbyterian Church;Fairhope. Mr.Emerick had been a steelworker with Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.at the Martins Ferry;Ohio;plant. He was a U.S.Air Force veteran;having served during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the PNA Lodge of Arnold City and the Slovak Club of Gillespie. Survivors include his fiancee;Kathryn Ianno;and one sister;Florence Sagona of Monessen. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;and Thursday until 11 a.m.;when services will be held in the funeral home with the Rev.John Park of Marion Presbyterian Church;Fairhope;officiating. Mrs.Evans was a member of the United Methodist Church of Monessen and the Franco-American Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons;Robert R.Evans of Speers and Thomas D.Evans of Monessen;10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Robert T.Evans in 1975;and four brothers;David;John;William and James Payton.
