A lifelong resident of Monessen;she was retired from Westmoreland Manor. In addition to her parents;whe was preceded in death by her husband;John R.Farmer Sr.;and one daughter;Denise Farmer. She was a member of Christian Life Ministries of Donora;where she served as president of church ministries. Alba Aurora Bergamasco Fedor;81;of Webster;formerly of Monessen;died Wednesday;June 21;2000;in the Westmoreland Manor;Greensburg. She was born in Monessen on Dec.30;1918;a daughter of the late Primo and Emilia (Valenzano) Bergamasco. Mrs.Fedor was a 1935 honors graduate of Monessen High School;had perfect atttendence at school for seven years and was the recipient of the American Legion Award. For 19 years she worked as an admissions clerk for Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh. She was a member of the former St.Leonard’s Catholic Church in Monessen;the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1190 in Monessen;the Rostraver Central VFD No.1 Ladies Auxiliary in Webster;Friends of the Monessen Public Library;Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the Ladies Guild of St.Leonard’s Church. She was an avid volunteer and was active with the Meals on Wheels program and the Leukemia Society. She also wrote two songs for the Library in Congress. For many years;she worked for the Republican Election Board of Monessen and was also a census taker. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law;Martha and Tim Veschio of Tampa;Fla.;and Margaret (Cookie) and Barry Couser of Webster;a sister;Sempra Mastarone of Leechburg;six grandchildren;Tim Veschio;Victor Veschio;Charles Barry Couser Jr.;Marsha Matis;David Couser and Patty Couser Miller;and eight great-grandchildren. Dorothy Dudick Feehan;78;of Monessen;died Thursday;May 18;2000;in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born on Aug. 28;1921;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late David and Anna (Gall) Dudick. Mrs.Feehan was a resident of the Belle Vernon and Monessen area all of her life;and was a 1940 graduate of North Belle Vernon High School. She was a member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Belle Vernon. J.R.Gordon Frazier;82;of Fayette City;died Sunday;May 16;1999;in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Monessen on Feb.26;1917;a son of the late John and Anna Whyte Frazier. Mr.Frazier was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon;the Charleroi F&AM Lodge 615 and a life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department. He retired from the Fisher Body Plant of General Motors in 1974 and was a World War II veteran of the Merchant Marines. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his first wife;Elizabeth Martin Frazier on July 27;1989. Survivors include his second wife;Ruth Perez Peltz;a daughter and son-in-law;Rowena and Carl Partyka of South Park;a son and daughter-in-law;Richard and Bobbi Frazier of Linville;Va.;and one grandson;Scott Frazier of Linville;Va. William J.Flower Jr.;91;of Grand Rapids;Mich.;died Friday;Jan.15;1999;in Grand Rapids;Mich. He was born in Monongahela on Oct.9;1907;a son of the late William J.amd Sarah Mellor Flower Sr. Mr.Flower was a pattern maker employed by the Fisher Body Division of General Motors. He was a veteran of the U.S.Navy serving in World War II. He had lived in Grand Rapids since 1992. He was a member of the Brethren;holding their services at the Rest Haven home where he was a resident. Survivors include his wife;Rose Rumora Flower;one son and daughter-in-law;William J.and Lynn Flower of Fairview;Pa.;four sisters;Martha Little of Buffalo;N.Y.;Florence Chenney and Nellie Jean Frye;both of the state of California;and Dorothy Japak of Canton;Ohio;and one brother;Frank Flower of Smithton. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his first wife;Anna V.Flower in 1966;one sister;Virtue Cramer;and four brothers;Fred;Thomas;Charles and Harry. Friends were received this morning in the James S.Rabe Funeral Home Inc.;Donora where services were also held. Burial was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
