Mrs.Alice Greenlee of Brownstown;Fayette City R.D.1;died Friday;Feb.11;1983;at 8:45 a.m.in Colonial Manor;Bentleyville;following a lengthy illness. She was 91. Mrs. Greenlee was born March 23;1891;in Jefferson Twp.;Fayette County;a daughter of the late G.T.and Christine Gardner Federer. She was preceded in death by her husband;Samuel Greenlee;who died Dec.8;1962. Survivors include a nephew;Donald Ward of Cleveland;Ohio;who she raised;two daughters;Mrs.Leo (Edith) Glasser of Charleroi and Mrs.Elma Emelo of Fayette City;R.D.1;one brother;John Federer of Huntington;W.Va.;one sister;Mrs.George (Evelyn) Guesman;of Belle Vernon R.D.5;five grandchildren;and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m.;all day Sunday;and until 11 a.m.Monday;when services will be held in the funeral home;with the Rev.C.E.Stollings;pastor;Fayette City United Methodist Church;officiating. Robert B.Gibson;of 1234 Hillcrest Ave.;Monessen;died Monday;May 31;1982;at 7:20 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness.  He was 63.  Mr.Gibson was born May 25;1919;in Monessen;a son of Robert T.Gibson of Largo;Fla.;and the late Irene Scales Gibson.  He was employed in the Sheet-Mechanical Department of the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation until his retirement in 1981.  Mr.Gibson was a member of the United Methodist Church and the BPO Elks Lodge No.773;both of Monessen.  Surviving;in addition to his father;are his wife;Doris Yates Gibson;at home;one daughter;Mrs.David (Jane) Altemara;of Monessen;two sons;Robert W.Gibson of Belle Vernon and Mark Gibson of Monessen;one sister;Mrs.James (Geraldine) Beeler;of Keystone Heights;Fla.;and two grandchildren.  Friends will be received at the Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen;at 9 a.m.Wednesday until the time of services at 10 a.m.in the funeral home;with the Rev.Kenneth J.Peters;pastor;United Methodist Church;Monessen;officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The family suggests memorial contributions in Mr.Gibsons’s memory may be made to the Monessen Ambulance Service through the funeral home.  The Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.;is in charge of arrangements. 

William S.Githens of 4080 Hancock;San Diego;Calif.;died Sunday;April 4;1982 in San Diego. He was 80. Mr.Githens was born Nov.1;1901;a son of the late William M.and Elma Shelpler Githens. A resident of the Belle Vernon area most of his life;he had spent the past five months in California. Mr.Githens was a retired foreman at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a brother;Samuel Ellison Githens. Survivors include one son;William H.Githens of San Diego;Calif.;three sisters;Edna Lambert of Belle Vernon;Elizabeth McSteen of Pinehurst;N.C.and Grace Chalfant of Fairless Hills;Pa.;three brothers;Lloyd K.;Robert T.and Albert W.Githens;all of Belle Vernon;and one granddaughter;Kimberly Githens of San Diego;Calif. Elizabeth Girhing of 22 Bedsworth St.;Pricedale;died Saturday Feb.13;1982 in Jefferson Center Hospital at 10:07 p.m. She was 82. Born in Bridgeport;Conn.;Oct.13;1899;she was the daughter of the late Steve and Susie Popp Ferenz. Mrs.Girhing was a member of the Reformed Hungarian Presbyterian Church of Pricedale and had spent most of her life in the Pricedale area. She was preceded in death by her husband;Andrew Girhing on May 11;1976. Survivors include two sons;Bernard A.Girhing of Belle Vernon R.D.4 and Julius H.Girhing at home;daughters;Mrs.Albert (Emma) Beneccio of Monessen;Elizabeth S.at home;Mrs.Lawrence (Margaret) Gocella of New Castle;Del.;and Mrs.Richared (Julia) Matway of Craven Hill;sisters;Mrs.Julia Myers of Shermansdale;Pa.;Mrs.Ethel Donley of Pricedale and Mrs.Mary Sakalik of Belle Vernon R.D.2;six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Allen L.Griffey;formerly of Monessen;died Monday at 4:30 p.m. in Birt Nursing Home;Uniontown. He was 87. Mr.Griffey was born June 16;1894;in Webster;a son of the late Ephraim and Nancy Griffith Griffey. A resident of Monessen most of her life;Mr.Griffey was retired from the former Page Division of American Chain & Cable Co.;Monessen. He was a member of the Elks;American Legion and World War I Mon Valley Barracks 350;all of Monessen. Survivors include a son;Louis Elwood (Cappy) Griffey of Monessen and numerous nieces;nephews and other relatives. Friends will be received in the William R.Taylor Funeral Home;645 McMahon Ave.;Monessen;from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.Wilbur J.Hubbard officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
