Rudolph (Rudy) Gohosky;80;of Arnold City;Belle Vernon;died suddenly Sunday;Dec.14;1997;at home. Born Jan.17;1917;in Cecil Township;Washington County;he was a son of the late Albert and Jennie Meig Gohosky. A retired coal miner;he was Catholic by faith. Mr.Gohosky was a member and past officer of PNA Lodge 976;Arnold City. He was a member of the American Slavonic Citizens Club of Fayette City and Naomi AC Club and a social member of Brightwell Daugherty American Legion Post 484;Fayette City. For 25 years he had served as Democatic chairman for the Arnold City district of Fayette County. Survivors include three sisters;Jennie Brown of Pittsburgh;Bernice Santavicca of Arnold City (Belle Vernon)and Ann Kobaly George of Lynnwood (Belle Vernon). In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Sophie K.Prokop Gohosky on Feb.15;1988; a daughter;Joyce Ann Thornton;a son;Joseph R.Gohosky on Nov.10;1995;four brothers and one sister. Vivian Price Guder;79;of 102 Florence Drive;New Stanton;formerly of Youngwood and Allenport;died Saturday;Nov.29;1997;at 6:55 a.m. in Integrated Health Services;Greensburg. Born Feb.17;1918;in Allenport;she was a daughter of the late Robert W.and Georgia Weiberg Price. A resident of New Stanton the past 13 years;she was United Methodist by faith. Mrs.Guder retired after 29 years with Pittsburgh Beauty Academmy;where she had served as supervisor of the Charleroi school and director of the Greensburg school. Survivors include her husband;LLoyd Guder;to whom she has been married 15 years;and a brother and sister-in-law;Jack O.and Leona Price of Waco;Texas. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her first husband;William Stafford;in 1967;and a brother;Edmind Price. Ida Brassart Gerard;91;of Goldsboro;n.c.;formerly of Fallowfield Township;died Saturday;Oct.4;1997;in Goldsboro. Born April 25;1906;in Imperial;she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Pauline Delrue Brassart. Mrs. Gerard was formerly employed as a baker at Rego’s Restaurant in Charleroi. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Maurice Gerard;five sisters;Louise Gould;Suzanne Mourner;Virginia Donnelly;Stephanie Herent and Pauline Komondor;and eight brothers;Ferinand;Hippolyte;Klebert;Louis;Joseph;Marceau;Clement and Paul Brassart. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are three daughters;Eileen Nesti of Goldsboro;N.C.;with whom she made her home;Helen Yeager of Charleroi and Margaret Brufont of Portage;Ind.;six grandhildren;six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Theodore J.Gaskell;79;of Belle Vernon;died Saturday;Aug.9;1997;at 9:30 a.m.in his home.  He was born Jan.28;1918;in Wilkinsburg;a son of the late William and Ida Wagner Gaskell.  He was the former owner and operator of Modern Art Studio in Charleroi for many years.  He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II.  He was a member of Syria Temple;the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite 32nd;both of Pittsburgh;and the F&AM Charleroi Lodge 615.  Friends were received in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home Inc.;106 East Independence St.;Perryopolis;on Sunday and will be received there Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday until 11 a.m.;when a service will be held with the Rev.Paul M.Ragle officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  A masonic service will be held Monday at 8 p.m.by the F&AM Lodge 615;Charleroi.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.  The Blair-Lowther Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.  

Stanley J.Gerwell;86;of Charleroi;died Saturday;June 7;1997;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. Born Dec.28;1910 in Cokeburg;he was the son of the late Charles and Josephine Mickel Gerwell. Mr.Gerwell was a member of Mary;Mother of the Church Parish;Charleroi. He was also a member of the Belgian Club of Charleroi and a life member of the Belle Vernon Moose Club. He was a retired foreman for Corning Glass;Charleroi. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Helen Gerwell;in 1988; one daughter;Jacqueline Tylus;and one brother;Wallace Gerwell. Surviving are one brother;Charles Gerwell of Monongahela;one sister;Jacqueline McMahan of Charleroi R.D.2 (Fallowfield Township);three grandchildren;Thomas and Zigmunt Tylus Jr.;and Ron Ronick;two great-grandchildren;Ben and Brian Ronick;and one step-great-grandchild;Danielle Harrell.
