Warren; Ohio; died Monday;
April 15; 1996; in the Trumbull
Memorial Hospital after a short
illness.
He was born Dec 31; 1903; in
Monessen;a son of the late
Charles G. Gwyer and Hannah
McMahon Gwyer.
Mr. Gwyer went to work for
Republic Steel Corp in Niles;
Ohio; in 1930 and worked as a
general foreman for 40 years.
He was also an avid Ham radio
operator under the call letters
W8UUI and he was a member of
the American Radio Relay
League.
He was also a member of St
James Catholic Church;
Warren.
Survivors include his wife;
Helen Capak Gywer; whom he
married on Sept. 15; 1972; one
daughter; Mrs Bernard (Ann)
Mientus of Painesville; Ohio;
one son; William L Gwyer of
Fort Worth; Texas; two stepdaughters;
Mrs James (Dorothy)
Snyder of Cincinnati;
Ohio; and Jane Wolf of Ft. Walton
Beach; Fla.; and two
grandchildren.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by his
first wife; Florence Price
Gwyer; on April 11;1964; whom
he married on Feb 4; 1934; and three brothers and two sisters;icluding Walter Gwyer. Friends will be
received Wednesday from 6
to 8 p.m. at the Robert H.
Roberts-Clark Memorial
Home; 180 Garfield Drive;
N.E.; Warren; Ohio. Services
will be held Thursday at 10
a.m. in St. James Catholic
Church; Warren; Ohio. Interment
will be held Thursday
at the Belle Vernon

William Gosney;67;of Fallowfield Township;died Friday;Feb.16;1996;in Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born March 2;1928. Mr.Gosney was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Charleroi;the F&AM Lodge 615 of Charleroi and American Legion Post 377 of California. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War;having served in the U.S.Army. Mr.Gosney retired from Corning Glass;Charleroi. Surviving are his wife;Mary Marran Gosney;two brothers;Theodore Woods of Monongahela and John Woods of Philadelphia;one stepson;Alex J.Marran of Ellsworth;three stepdaughters;Linda Kvortek;Donna Collins and Gina Latta;all of Bentleyville;and 10 step-grandchildren. He was born Dec. 30;1914; in

Known to hundreds of his
gymnasts and volleyball players simply as Mr. G; Bud
coached and taught area youth
for 60 years; leading seven volleyball teams and nine gymnastics teams at Monessen High
School to state championship
titles;
Bud became’a beer distributor; inheriting his father’s business along with his brother;
Angelo. He began his career directly out of high school; and
continued until age 70
A corporal in the U.S. Marines in World War II; he was
sent to Grove City College for
special radar training during
his service;
Survivors include his wife;
Eileen Von Bergen Giannini;
three daughters; Joanne and
Cheryl Gian-nini; and
Kathelene Szlingier; five
grandchildren; Dr. Kimberly
Pasqu|ile; Gina Pasquale; Jamie (Pasquale) Kubik; and Vincent and Claire Szlingier; two
great-grandchildren; one brother;Angelo Giannini;and four sisters;Cecilia Giannini;Leona Kuhn;Gerry Elyanich and Lil DeMarino. her husband; Lewis; in 1964;
and a daughter; Elizabeth
Bloom; in 1967.

Born June 21;1934;in Poland Mines;Dillner;Greene County;he was a son of the late Elijah Thomas and Jessie Gladys David Gauden. Baptist by faith;Mr.Gauden was a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was a member of John F.Kennedy Americna Legion Post 377 of California;Pa.;and Arden Calvert VFW Post 167 of Charleroi. Mr.Gauden served with the U.S.Navy and U.S.Army during six tours of duty in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
