Steve Godzak;75;of Elm Street;Monessen;died Thursday;March 2;1995;at his home. Born Feb.7;1920;in Czechoslovakia;he was the son of the late Stephen and Susan Feriak Godzak. A resident of Monessen for 43 years;Mr.Godzak was a member of St.Marys Byzantine Catholic Church and AARP. He was a retired millwright at the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a veteran of World War II;serving in the U.S.Army Air Corps. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Julia Choka Godzak;on Aug.21;1985;and two brothers;Rudolph Godzak in 1985 and George Godzak in 1958. Surviving are two brothers;Michael Godzak Sr.of Rostraver Township and Edward Godzak of Navesink;N.J.;one sister;Anne Godzak of Donora;one stepson;Thomas Jones of Fayette City;and three step-grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad ave.;Belle Vernon;where a blessing service will be held Monday at noon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.

Mrs.Gibbs was born April 24;1947;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late Harvey B.Offutt;who died June 23;1983;and Maude Holland Offutt;who survives and reside in Belle Vernon. A Baptist by faith;she was a 1966 graduate of Bellmar High School. Holy Spirit Roman Catholic
Church; Fayette City.
