Stanley J.Gerwell;86;of Charleroi;died Saturday;June 7;1997;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. Born Dec.28;1910 in Cokeburg;he was the son of the late Charles and Josephine Mickel Gerwell. Mr.Gerwell was a member of Mary;Mother of the Church Parish;Charleroi. He was also a member of the Belgian Club of Charleroi and a life member of the Belle Vernon Moose Club. He was a retired foreman for Corning Glass;Charleroi. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Helen Gerwell;in 1988; one daughter;Jacqueline Tylus;and one brother;Wallace Gerwell. Surviving are one brother;Charles Gerwell of Monongahela;one sister;Jacqueline McMahan of Charleroi R.D.2 (Fallowfield Township);three grandchildren;Thomas and Zigmunt Tylus Jr.;and Ron Ronick;two great-grandchildren;Ben and Brian Ronick;and one step-great-grandchild;Danielle Harrell. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Carl J.Spallino Funeral Home;819 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi. Andrew (Banjo) Glister;81;of Fairhope;died Sunday;June 1;1997;in his residence. He was born July 17;1915; in
York Run; a son of the late
Frank and Stella Belczyk

Mr. Glister was Catholic by
faith. He was a member of the
the Fairhope Rod and Gun
Club. He was a veteran of World
War II; having served with the
U.S. Army.

George Relich of Fairhope; and
three sisters-in-law; Frances Glister of Clarksville;Dorris Glister of Tuscon;Ariz.;and Noreen Glister of Fayette City

Angelo (Sonny) Giannini;74;of Knowle Lane;Rostraver Township;died Tuesday;April 8;1997;in Mon Valley Hospital;Inc.  He was born in Gallatin;Jan.14;1923; a son of the late Candida and Annibale Giannini.  Mr.Giannini was a Valley resident all of his life.  He owned and operated;along with his sons;the Giannini Distributing Company of Monessen.  He was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon.  During World War II;he served with the U.S.Marines in the Pacific Theater of Operations.  He was a member of the Thomas McKee Post 28;American Legion for 52 years;where he served as post commander from 1954 to 1955 and 1958 to 1964.  He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1190;a 10-year member of the Mon Valley Leathernecks Associaion;a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 954 and Elks Lodge 773;all of Monessen.  He was also a member of the Eagles Aerie 2399 and belonged to various other civic and fraternal organizations.  Surviving are his wife;Genevieve Dzimiera Giannini;three sons and a daughter-in-law;Mark and Rita Giannini;Randy Giannini and Paul Giannini;all of Belle Vernon;four sisters;Cecelia Giannini;Lillian DeMarino and Gerry Elyanich;all of Monessen;and Leona Kuhn of Belle Vernon;and one grandson;Chad Giannini.  In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a sister;Rose Sabol;and two brothers;Roland ‘Berry Giannini and Baldo Bud: Giannini.  Friends will be received in the Robert A.Billick Funeral home Inc.Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue;Monessen;Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  A Blessing servce will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.in  St.Sebastian Roman  Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;with the Rev.John Cindric;V.F.;officiating. Nellie Grabania;100;formerly of Bedsworth Street;Pricedale (Rostraver Township);died Tuesday;Dec.10;1996;at 5 p.m.in the Washington County Health Center. Born May 15;1896;in Poland;she was a daughter of the late Wassil and Mary Wozniak. Mrs.Grabania was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Lynnwood;St.Barbara’s Altar Guild of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church and the LOBOV Lodge. She had lived in Rostraver Township since 1917. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Samuel;on Jan.11;1959;a daughter;Mary Crampo in 1976;and two sisters;Rose Pehote and Mary Holet. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law;Nick and Evelyn Grabana of Belle Vernon;two grandchildren;Evelyn Marie Davis and her husband;Dr.Dennis Davis of McMurray and Joseph Crampo of San Jose;Calif.;and two great-grandchildren;Kyra and Mark Davis. Born July 1;1914;she was a daughter of the late Charles H.and Amy E.Friend Smith. Mrs.Glotfelty was a member of Little Redstone Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and deacon;Sunday School teacher;Vacation Bible School teacher;choir member and custodian. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Clarence B.Glotfelty;on Nov.1;1967;a sister;Gertrude B.Bronson;and two brothers;Walter E.and Lester E.Smith. Survivors include nieces and nephews.
