May Berta Corley Jones;71;of Taylor;Mich.;formerly of Monessen;died Sunday;Feb.14;1993;in her home suddenly of a heart attack. Mrs.Jones was born April 17;1921;in Statesboro;Ga.;a daughter of the late Albert Corley Sr. and Mary Ann George Corley. She was a former member of the Mt.Calvary Baptist Church;Monessen. Mrs.Jones had joined the Amity Baptist Church in Inkster;Mich.;where she had been a member of the Usher Board of the Church for many years. Surviving are three daughters;Ernestine Hixon of Wayne;Mich.;Naomi Stubbs of Romulus;Mich.;and Tina Marie Jones of Taylor;Mich.;two sisters;Marie Littles and LaVerne Crenshaw;both of Monessen;four grandchildren;one great-granddaughter;and many nieces;nephews and cousins. A son;Ernest Watkins;and six brothers;Albert Corley Jr.;Samuel;Henry;Sylvester and Lucious Corley;and Major Corley;Sr.are deceased. Friends will be received Friday;Feb.19;from 2 to 9 p.m. in the Mt.Calvary Baptist Church;Monessen. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the church;with the Rev.Griffin E.Mason;pastor;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Funeral services were held Saturday morning Jan.18;1992;in the chapel of the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.;Monessen;for Jane B.Johnston of 5850 Meridian Rd.;Gibsonia;who died Thursday;Jan.16;1992;in North Hills Passavant Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Cumberland;Md.;a daughter of the late Samuel and Ida Mae Siple. She was a former resident of the Sweeney Plan;Belle Vernon;for many years prior to moving to the St.Barnabas Retirement Village in Gibsonia. She was a member of Bentleyville United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star;Monessen;Chapter 205. Survivors include her husband;Melvin A.Johnston;and two nephews;Barry G.Siple of Wilmington;Del.;and Robert Siple of Chesterton;Ind. The Rev.Kenneth J.Peters officiated at the funeral services. Burial was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Dean R.Johnson;39;of 645 Graham St.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;Dec.26;1991;at 10:14 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Feb.5;1952;in North Charleroi;a son of Calvin and Elaine Evans Johnson;who survive and reside in Webster. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past eight years;Mr.Johnson was a member ot St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. He was retired from the U.S.Air Force where he served as an aero-medical technician. He served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He also served as a coach for the Mon Valley Hockey League and additionally assisted with the Belle Vernon hockey team. In addition to his parents;he is survived by his wife;Lynne Smith Johnson;two sons;John Michael Johnson and Dean R.Johnson Jr.;and two daughters;Teresa Johnson and Stephanie Johnson;all at home;and one brother;Douglas Johnson of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a blessing service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
