Born July 31;1904;in Fayette City;he was a son of the late Peter and Mary Smith Jesick. Mr.Jesick was retired from U.S.Steel Corporation’s Irwin Works. He was a member of Marion United Presbyterian Church;Fairhope. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;and Thursday until 10 a.m.;when services will be held in the funeral home with the Rev.John Park;pastor of Marion United Presbyterian Church of Fairhope;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Alzheimers Foundation or the charity of one’s choice. she was preceded in death by

Daniel and Cleo Carpenter.

of Chino; Calif; two sons; Keith
E. James of Rockford; Ill.; and
Eric James of Monongahela; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren: and two sisters;

Alice Brubaker Jones;89;of Beaver;Pa;and formerly of Cortland;Ohio;died Monday;April 25;1994;at 6:22 p.m. in the Beaver Valley Medical Center. She was born Feb.2;1905;in England;a daughter of the late William and Hannah Perks Lane. She had resided for five years in Pennsylvania and 60 years in Cortland;Ohio. Mrs.Jones had owned and operated;with her husband;Brubaker’s Department Store in Cortland from 1948 to 1965. She was a member of the Cortland United Methodist Church. She was past president of the Cortland Junior Literary Club;a past worthy matron of Opal Chapter Order of the Eastern Star;past worthy high priestess of Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalum No.42 Eastern Star 181 and a member of the Order of the Amaranth. Mrs.Jones is survived by one son;Daniel Brubaker Jr.of Revenna;Ohio;stepchildren;Thomas Jones of Seattle;Wash.;and Mary Ann Pierce of San Francisco;Calif.;one sister;Mrs.Emma Hutchison of Perryopolis;and four grandchildren. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her first husband;Daniel W.Brubaker;whom she married in 1923 and who died in 1964;and her second husband;Thomas W.Jones;whom she married in 1967 and who died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by a daughter;Kay McClellan;andsix sisters;Elizabeth Schuller;Flora Beaumont;Helen Doyle;Gertrude Bandine;Virginia Soldate and Priscilla Bertoulle.
