Leonard E.Kidwell;82;of Monessen;died Sunday;Oct.19;1997;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. Born Sept.24;1915;in Monessen;he was a son of the late Lemuel and Anna Oates Kidwell. He had been employed as a foreman in the carpentry shop of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation’s Monessen plant. Mr.Kidwell was a member of St.Mary’s Episcopal Church of Charleroi. He was also a member of Monessen Lodge 638 F&AM where he had served as worshipful master;and the Mon Valley Caravan 17. Survivors include his wife;Eva Markovitch Kidwell;and three sisters; Marie Kidwell of Brookfield;Ohio;Wanita Harper of Donora and Leona M.Smith of Monessen. John H. (Jack) Kelley;76;of Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;Sept.16;1997;in Mon Valley Hospital after a short illness. He was born Feb.19;1921;in Donora;a son of the late John H.and Mary Kinnear Kelley. Protestant by faith;he was a retired auto worker from the Fisher Body Works in West Mifflin. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Western Pennsylvania Firemen’s Association;the Fayette County Firemen’s Association and the Southwestern Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs Association. Mrs.Krolik was a resident of the Belle Vernon area for the past 49 years and was a member of St.Mary Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen and its Rosary Society. She was retired as an inspector at Charland Industries.
