Mr. Marinak was born in
Czechoslovakia on May 19;
1893; a son of the late Joseph
and Mary Marinak.
He was a retired employee
of the Monessen plant of
Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel
Corp; and was a member of
the St Sebastian Catholic
Church of Belle Vernon and
the .Slovak Catholic Circle of
Fayette City.
He was preceded in death by
two sons; Joseph and John
Marinak.
Survivors include his
widow; Agnes Marinak; three
daughters; Mrs. Joseph
(Catherine) Dorcon of Fayette
City; Mrs Paul (Mary Kaye)
Frederick of Craven Hill;
Charleroi; and Mrs. Emil
(Agnes) DeAngelis of Belle
Vernon; two brothers; Joseph
and Paul Marinak; both in
Czechoslovakia; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral Home in Fayette City
from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and until the time of the Blessing service on Saturday at 9 a.m.;which will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.in St.Sebastian Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. John R.(Jack) McCahill of 108 Knox Ave.;Monessen;died Monday;June 19;1978;at 7:15 p.m.in Mercy Hospital;Pittsburgh;following a lingering illness. He was 72. Mr.McCahill was born September 18;1905;in Black Diamond;a son of the late William (1874-1960)and Christina Renk McCahill(1874-1925). A Mon Valley resident his entire life;he retired from the maintenance department of the Page Division of American Chain and Cable Co.;Monessen;in 1967. Mr;McCahill was a member of St.Leonard’s R.C.Church and B.P.O.E. 773;both in Monessen. His wife;Anna Marie Lahey McCahill;preceded him in death on May 30;1969;as did a brother;Thomas McCahill;in 1966. Survivors include one sister;Mrs.Albert (Rose) Collins of Monongahela;one brother;William E.McCahill of Monongahela;and several nieces and nephews. Mrs.Rachel McLaughlin;73;of 510 Furlong Ave.;Roscoe;died at 9:55 p.m.Tuesday;June 13;1978 in Brownsville General Hospital. Mrs.McLaughlin was born Nov.6;1904;a daughter of the late John and Flora Strayer Adams. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Roscoe;American Legion Post 801 Auxiliary of Roscoe;and the Past Presidents Association of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 695 of Belle Vernon. She is survived by three sons;William McLaughlin and Harry McLaughlin;both of Roscoe;and Ed McLaughlin of Bobtown;one daughter;Mary K.McLaughlin of Roscoe;one daughter-in-law;Mrs.Virginia McLaughlin of California;14 grandchildren;and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs.McLaughlin was preceded in death by her husband;James McLaughlin in 1965;and by two brothers;George Adams and Robert Adams. Born in Feb.7;1887 in Besseges;France;she was the daughter of Felix and Rose Dussere Charriax. Mrs.Mejean came from France as a bride in 1908 and resided in the Mon Valley all her adult life. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Charleroi and is survived by one daughter;Fernanda (Fern) Mejean who is at home. Mrs.Mejean was preceded in death by her husband;Albert;in 1919 and a daughter;Augusta;who died in 1966.
