Bertha Mejean;81;of 320 Sheppard Ave.;North Charleroi;died Saturday;May 27;1978;at 1:10 a.m. in the South Hills Convalescent Center. Born in Feb.7;1887 in Besseges;France;she was the daughter of Felix and Rose Dussere Charriax. Mrs.Mejean came from France as a bride in 1908 and resided in the Mon Valley all her adult life. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Charleroi and is survived by one daughter;Fernanda (Fern) Mejean who is at home. Mrs.Mejean was preceded in death by her husband;Albert;in 1919 and a daughter;Augusta;who died in 1966. Mrs.Rosalia Madlenk of Gillespie;Fayette City R.D.1;died Sunday;May 7;1978 at 9:05 a.m.at the home of her daughter;Mrs.John (Amelia) Gelotti;of Fayette City R.D.1 Born in Czechoslovakia;Mrs.Madlenk was the daughter of the late Mr.and Mrs.Ignatz Holub. She was a member of Holy Spirit R.C.Church;Fayette City. Mrs.Madlenk was preceded in death by her husband;Ignatz Madlenk Sr.in 1952;and a son;Frank;in 1971. Survivors include one son;Ignatz Madlenk Jr.of Belle Vernon;two daughters;Mrs.John (Amelia) Gelotti and Mrs.John (Helen) Teringo;both of Fayette City R.D.1;five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City after 3 p.m. Monday. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit R.C.Church;Fayette City. Jessie McGownn Lidey; 71; of West Newton; died Saturday;Jan. 8; 2000; in her late home. She was born Nov. 13;1928; in Maidsville; W.Va.; a daughter of the late Daniel and Izetta Dull McGowan. Pearl Opal Pemberton LeComte;81;of 18 Johnston St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;Oct.18;1999;at 9 p.m.;at her home. She was born Dec.6;1917;in Denver;Colo.;a daughter of the late Elmer and Helen Mae Gilbert Pemberton. Mrs.LeComte was a resident of the Belle Vernon community for the past six years;having previously resided in Donora. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Donora and was a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters;Bertha Lambert of Belle Vernon;with whom she made her home;and Blanche Martin of Donora;two brothers;Robert Pemberton of Florida;and Earl Pemberton of Cleveland;seven grandchildren;and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husbsnd;Hector LeComte;a sister;Mildred Bundy;a brother;Lloyd Pemberton;and a grandson;David LeComtre.
