She was a resident of Monessen fro the past 65 years.In addition to her father;she was preceded in death by her husband;Maurice H.Mathieu Sr.on March 11;1982 and a brother;Matthew Canestrale in 1931. Mr.Mattis was a retired technican for U.S.Steel Corporation’s National Works in McKeesport. His late wife;Mary Mogan Mattis;was from Charleroi. Mr.Mattis was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. William J.Miller of 518 Fourth St.;North Charleroi;died Thursday;Oct.25;1984;at 1:04 a.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital. He was 82. Mr.Miller was born Dec.2;1901;in Monessen;a son of the late Phillip and Mary Baldis Miller. A mid-Mon Valley resident all of his life;he was a member of Saints Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church of Charleroi. Mr.Miller was also a member of the Senior Citizen Club and the Golden Agers;both of Charleroi.He was retired from the Irvin Works of the U.S.Steel Corp and was also a retired crossing guard at the North Charleroi Elementary School. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother;Albert Miller. Survivors include his wife;Evelyn DeSellems Miller;two daughters;Mrs.Bernard (Mary Ada) Zaucha and Mrs.William (Evelyn) Sedlak;both of North Charleroi;one sister;Mrs.Clair (Mary) Anderson of Belle vernon;eight grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
