He was born Aug.11;1900;a son of the late Joe and Annie Leach Oliphant. Mr.Oliphant had served in World War II in the U.S.Army. He was a Protestant by faith and had worked for most of his life in the area as a coal miner. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a son;William Kane Oliphant;who died in 1945 in the service. A Methodist by faith;Mr.Overand was a U.S.Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He had served both as a squire in Webster and as a district magistrate in the Belle Vernon area for many years. Mr.Overand was a member and past master of Donora F&AM Lodge No.626. Mr.Overand was a member of the Consistory and Syria Temple of Pittsburgh and the Fayette City Beagle Club. years; he had formerly lived in
Monessen.
Mr. Ostetrico was a retired
foreman in the structural shop of the
Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation’s Monessen Plant.
In addition to his parents he was
preceded in death by a sister; Ann
Filander; and a brother; Julio
Ostetrico.
Survivors include his wife; Mary
