Mr.O’Hara was born Feb.9;1917;in Rostraver Township;a son of the late Francis and Mabel Houseman O’Hara. A lifelong Belle Vernon resident;he was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church where he served as Eucharistic minister and commentator. Mr.O’Hara was also a member of the church choir;the Holy Name Society and the Legion of Mary. He was a member of Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026;Valley of Hope Prayer Community and the Third Order of St.Francis;where he currently was serving as prefect. A former member of the Mon Valley Barbershop Chorus;Mr.O’Hara has served on the Rostraver Township Recreation Board for five years. He was active in the Meals on Wheels Program in the Belle Vernon Area. Mr.O’hara was a veteran of World War II;having served in the U.S.Army. He retired in 1980 from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;Monessen Plant;where he had been employed first as a craneman for 30 years and then as a motor inspector.
