Raymon L.Stein;64;of 408 McGeary Ave.;Monessen;died unexpectedly at 4:15 p.m.;Friday;June 1;1990;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. Mr.Stein was born Feb.12;1926;in Monessen;a son of the late Clarence and Gertrude Jackson Stein. He retired in 1986 from the Blooming Mill Department of the former Monessen Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation after more than 40 years of service. Mr.Stein was a life-long resident of Monessen. He was a member of St.Leonard Roman Catholic Church and the Hungarian Club;both of Monessen;and the American Legion Post No.22;Charleroi. Mr.Stein served with the U.S.Army Infantry during World War II. In addition to his parents;he was also preceded in death by a brother;Francis M.Stein;in 1985;by a sister;Caroline;in 1946;and by a nephew;Ronald Stein;in 1988. Surviving are his wife;Sarah Stein;at home;three sons and daughters-in-law;Raymond and June Stein of Charleroi;James and Jeanie Stein of Charleroi;and David and Tina Stein of Monessen;four sisters;Elizabeth Price of Derry;Martha Stein of Monessen;Mrs.Rico (Barbara) Puglisi of Anaheim;Calif.;and Mrs. Stanley (Clara Mae) Povich of Monessen;four grandchildren;Raymond and Eric Stein of Bentleyville and David and Alicia Stein of Monessen;and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Stephen D.Yoney Jr.Funeral Home;First Street and Schoonmaker Avenue;Monessen. American Legion Post No.22 services will be held Monday at 8 p.m.in the funeral home. A Blessing Service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by a 10:30 a.m.Mass of Christian Burial in St.Leonard Roman Catholic Church;Monessen;with the Rev.John Euker;pastor;as celebrant. Howard J. Babs Stark; 76; of Roscoe; died Monday; March 26; 1990 in Mon Valley Hospital.
He was born August 22; 1913; in Roscoe; a son of the late Robert and Clementine Gollick Stark Sr.
Mr. Stark was Protestant by faith; and a member of the Roscoe Volunteer Fire Department for many years and a life member of the Slovak Beneficial Society of Roscoe.
He retired as a millwright from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company; Allenport Plant.
Mr. Stark was preceded in death by three sisters; Margaret Brewer in 1972; Drusilla Leonetti in 1979 and Irene Atkinson in 1987; five brothers; George William in 1965; Robert Jr. in 1981; Myron Butch in 1983; John Jack in 1984 and Thomas in 1988.
He is survived by his wife; Dorothy Stark of Elco; two sons; Herman of Yorba Linda; CA and Roy of Marietta; OH; one daughter; Linda Swails of Fort Lauderdale; FL; seven grand-children; two sisters; Mrs. Russell (Marybelle) Neudorfer of Fort Lauderdale; FL and Mrs. Bessie Flaherty of Elco; and many nieces and nephews.
