Frank Sedok;67;of Apt.320 of the Belle Vernon Apartments;died Sunday;Dec.24;1989;at his home at 6 a.m. He was born in Charleroi on May 1;1922;a son of the late Frank and Eva Gavreski Sedok. Mr.Sedok was a member of the Nazarene Church of Belle Vernon and the V.F.W.of Monessen. He had lived in Belle Vernon for the last 43 years;formerly residing in Monessen. He retired in 1985 from the eledtric shop of the Blooming Mill of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel;Monessen Plant. He was an Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by two brothers;Michael and Andrew Sedok and a sister;Irene Desko. He is survived by his wife;Isabell Maughan Sedok;a son;Frank R.Sedok of Pricedale;two daughters;Mrs.Joseph (Colleen) Picinotti of Rogers Manor;Charleroi and Mrs.William (Dawn) Trilli of Belle Vernon;a brother;John Sedok of Monessen;three sisters;Helen Lexie of Monessen;Ann Ruzzich of Wilson and Margaret Diaz of Charleroi;and three grandchildren;Jason and Anthony Picinotti and David Trilli. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Funeral service will be held from the funeral home Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Born Oct.30;1904;in Bedford County;he was the son of the late Grant and Ida Peck Shaffer. Mr.Shaffer lived in Belle Vernon since 1940;having formerly resided in Bedford. He retired in 1969 from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation’s Gibson yards. He was a member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church and the Belle Vernon American Legion. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a son;Calvin;in 1967. Surviving are his wife;Wilma Foor Shaffer;one son;Robert Shaffer of Philadelphia;three granddaughters;Beverly Brashear and Linda Shaffer;both of Belle Vernon;and Lisa Harshman of Centerville;Tex.;five great-grandchildren;two great-great-grandchildren;and one sister;Grace Miller of Carlisle. He had lived in Elizabeth the past nine years;having spent most of his life in Monessen. He retired in 1975 from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by two brothers;Frank and James Sellaro. Surviving are his wife;Anita Tucci Sellaro;one son;Norman R.Sellaro of Elizabeth;two grandchildren;Anthony and Dana;two brothers;John and Louis Sellaro;both of Belle Vernon;and three sisters;Edith Lachowicz;Mary Klisowski and Theresa Toth;all of Belle Vernon.
