David P.Scholl;81;of Rostraver Township;Belle Vernon;died Friday;June 5;1998;in Mercy Hospital;Pittsburgh. He was born in Rostraver Township on Jan.8;1917;a son of the late David S.and Sarah E.Pore Scholl. Mrs.Scholl was superintendent of the Belle Vernon Cemetery from 1951 to the present. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon;where he served in various capacities as deacon and elder and was presently head usher of the church. He was a charter member of the Belle Vernon Lions Club;having served as treasurer for the past 45 years. As a member of the Lions Club organization;he had received the 50 year Charter Monarch Award and was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow Award. He had served as a school director for the former Rostraver Township and the current Belle Vernon Area School Districts. Mr Scholl was also involved in the following organizations:member and past treasurer of the Belle Vernon Lodge No.643 F&AM;member of the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection;the Pittsburgh Consistory and the Syria Shriners of Pittsburgh;and was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. In his work with the cemetery;Mr.Scholl has served as member and past director of the American Cemetery Association;member;past president;treasurer and director of the Cemetery Association of Pennsylvania;member and past treasurer of the Western Pennsylvania Cemetery Association;member of the Board of Directors and treasurer of the Mill Grove Cemetery in South Huntingdon Township. Survivors include a son;David L.Scholl of Belle Vernon;a sister;Sarah E.Trickett of Raleigh;N.C.;two grandchildren;Erik D.and his wife Julie A.Scholl of Gettysburg and Kirsten R.Scholl of Baltimore;Md. In addition to his parents;he was preceded on death by his wife;Mary Jane Lambert Scholl on July 8;1992;three brothers;Robert B.Scholl;William C.Scholl and Roy S.Scholl;three sisters;Margaret H.Rankin;Mary Ruth Scholl Stump and Emma B.Fettik and several nieces and nephews. Armand (Mundo) Sichi;69;of 6 Eggers Avenue;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;April 23;1998;at 5:10 p.m.in St.Francis Medical Center;Pittsburgh. He was born June 30;1928;in Fairhope;a son of the late Adam and Angelina Cecarelli Sichi. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church;Belle Vernon;where he was instrumental in the formation of the Belle Vernon Fodd and Fellowship Program. He was a life member and past president of the North Belle Vernon volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Belle Vernon Moose Lodge and had served
one term as a Belle Vernon
councilman. A life-long resident
of Belle Vernon; he retired in
1988 from the Monessen Plant;
Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;
where he was a saturator and
steelman. He had held many
positions and was past president of the Monessen Coke
Plant Union USW Local 2698.
He was a U.S. Marine; having
served during the Korean
Conflict.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by two
brothers; Edward and Orlando
Sichi. Survivors include his wife of 48 years;Mona Franks Sichi;two sons and daughters-in-law;Armand and Pamela Sichi Jr.of Roscoe;and Barry and Terri Sichi of Belle Vernon;one brother;Reno Sichi of Commerce;Ga.;four grandchildren;Richard and Josh Sichi;Barry Youger and Larissa Horme. In addition of her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Joseph F.Shephard in 1986;her twin sister;Eva Yadlosky;her sister;Ann Hopton and two brothers;Andrew and John Yadlosky. Carl J.Skibo;96;the oldest resident of Fayette City;died Thursday;March 12;1998;in Mead Manor;Monongahela after a very short illness. Born July 22;1901;in Roscoe;he was retired from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel after 48 years of service. He was Catholic by faith. He was a member of the Fayette City and Belle Vernon Golden Age clubs. The last remaining member of his immediate family;Mr.Skibo was preceded in death by his wife;Naomi Sharrer Skibo;who died Oct.14;1987. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law;Priscilla and Robert Pelissero of Monongahela and Peggy and George Lynn of Murrysville;three sons and daughters-in-law;Carl Bernard and Millie Skibo of Fayette City;James and Colleen Skibo of Hilton Head;S.C.;and Charles and Nickey Skibo of North Carolina;14 grandchildren;15 great-grandchildren;and three great-great-grandchildren.
